I've been getting claims i wouldn't stand a chance with my cam, pipe, and lid off. apparently my 40hp won't hold a candle to a 55hp 450 in the woods. I've always believed that XC racing is 90% rider and 10% machine. Suspension is much more important than hp on these XC races. I wanted to see what kind of numbers you trail guys are pushing? Anybody that rides trails outta know that ponies don't win races. p.s. if you don't ride trails or XC please keep your comments to yourself, lol i'm looking for experienced answers. my quad = 40hp give or take.

just finished my build and am curious as to what it would kind of make for power.My mods are in my sig but is on 110 rocket fuel now.This is a bottom end motor so i would imagine the final torque and hp #'s are going to be close.

So I know most guys are running engine ice or water wetter, or honda coolant. My question is, i've got a small leak in my radiator down by where the hose connects. It is not enough to cause me to lose to much coolant, but i can smell it and i do see drips occassionally. Since we are going to Badlands this weekend i wanted to see what coolant i can add to this in order to top it off. I have plenty of regular green anti freeze in my garage that i would to use to top it off. When i put the new radiator in i plan to refill with engine ice, but for now can i keep it topped off with the green stuff? It hasn't lost very much coolant, but in case i do see the resevoir l…

I currently ride 20x10x10 7 paddle haulers with itp c series wheels and sandstars on the front. The guys I ride with are pushing me hard to get rid of the haulers and rims and go with 21x12x8 8 paddle gliders. I understand the 8 inch rims float better. Are gliders and blue labels really worth the cost? these guys swear by gliders. My ride is just a hair under 50hp with hrc cam and some other stuff if that matters. thanks

ive been wondering for some time now,just how heavy my quad is so i drove to the store an bought a second set of bathroom scales!! it came in at 314'' 162 on the front and 152 on the rear!! i was looking to be around 300 or less but thats just a few more bolt ons to replace heavy oem parts! axle/hubs/etc. this was done with a dry gas tank too:gr_cool:

All i can say is wow.Got rid of the old 11.5:1 paper weight piston and threw in a 13.1,de-shrouded the head around the valves and did a 3 angle valve job.Along with the HC1.This thing is a bottom end monster,thats all i can say,pulls like a freight train,hard enough that i really have to hold on.

Okay, so my current paddles are 20x10x10 8 paddle skat trak extremes. I FINALLY recieved my new 22x11x10 7 paddle skat trak extremes that they said 2-3 weeks but actually 5 weeks. So...besides the long wait, I opened up the box to see my long awaited rubber and immediately noticed the casings are from CST. Also the next thing I noticed is I can easily see where the tires used to have 8 paddles attached and redid the spacing for my 7 paddle extremes. I have heard of people getting different casings when ordering from Rocky Mountain but I ordered these from Recreation Tire and they informed me they were gonna be shipped to me DIRECTLY from Skat Trak. Since we are talking about oil so much lately let's have a vote and see which brand wins. To be clear this poll is not to start bickering. I figured it'd simply let everyone know who runs what and which brand gets the best rep. If there are any oils I missed or any problems with me doing this let me know.

Dropped that new Moose/CP piston in the bike and said fuck it, I'm going to clean up this head while I have it off... Now I need a head, lol . . . I've Been in worse scenarios, I'll chalk this up to a learning experience. I was taking the bump before the valve boss out and was "almost" done, lol. As you can see I didnt make it to far into the job. At least it was on the first runner and not the last and I have plenty of Bud light left to end the evening. Moral of the story... Can't learn if you don't try.
