Installing aftermarket handlebars
by Guest Deven- 0 replies

This is a very common thing done on the TRX bike that requires a mod to make work properly. Installing aftermarket handlebars. First lets address the handlebars. Most everything is straight forward when installing your new bars but you will need to grind off the tang that is on the inside of you headlight switch housing. You can see in the pic below I use a small dremel with a sanding wheel. be careful not to grind to much or it wont tighten nicely. If this happen usually a couple wraps on the bar with electrical tape will fix this problem. http://www.offtopic.forum/uploads/imported/2012/04/IMAG0715-1.jpg http://www.offtopic.forum/uploads/imported/2012/04/IMAG…

2007 TRX450 Dyno run at Dynomite Performance
by Guest Deven- 2 replies

I picked this quad up in December with the intention of building it up for myself. My wife rides and road this bike and wanted it. So it was perfect powerwise for her so I decided to leave it for her and we ran it on the Dyno. This bike had all the work done. I would have pulled it all apart when I got it as I would do a lot of modding to make it mine. however for her it has all the power she will ever need. So until it needs maintenance, it will not be pulled down. i called up Matt over Dynomite Performance and set up a time to run it. Made a few runs and heres what we got. Jetting was a little lean. Was going to leave it for a rebuild but since it is now her bik…

I picked up a black 06 for a great deal and it is BONE STOCK. makes more sense for my build as it will be replaced in every nook and cranny and built up into a duner.... that drags well. Does this make it a 2 trick pony? maybe only 1 1/2? http://www.offtopic.forum/uploads/imported/2012/04/5Ne5Z05H93I63J73o7c1u197c5c0fdf1712e8-1.jpg http://www.offtopic.forum/uploads/imported/2012/04/IMAG0895-1.jpg Plans so far are it will be stripped down to the bare frame, powder coated, long travel or wider arms. This one will be getting a +4 swingarm,+1 stem and 1 1/8 bars, and the motor will be built. 65hp built by a good proven builder. Best of all electric start now! Im go…

I know I'm kind of going above and beyond for a new website. But I'm willing to let 450rHQ have my quad for the summer to do any and all modifications to it they see fit. Any engine work, powder coating, etc. This includes permissions to do a full Build write up, photo and post on websites, magazines, tv ad's, etc.....All I ask is that it be completed by the start of Dune season.....and in return I will sport up to 2 450rHQ stickers on my quad.
