I need some new gear, Just wanted to see if anyone has any experience with these. They look like a good boot for the price (375.00) and I really like the idea of the hinge on the ankle.

So we went riding today and intermittently we were smelling coolant. we looked at all the bikes and saw no coolant leaks, and all our reservoirs were full, none were blowing over, and no overheat lights came on. I got into the bike to climb a hill and it died. Just like someone cut the key off, not like it was starving for fuel. I cranked it over and it fired right up again and I got maybe 10 feet and it shut down again. Then it wouldn't crank, like the compression was too high. We tried to pull start it and it fired up after a few tries. I got about 50 yards and it died again. Fortunately we were near my buddy's house so we dragged it to his house. Unfortunately I was…

OK, my ass end is harsh on my bike. I spent most of my play money in engine upgrades and other go fast goodies. I followed Nick's advice on setting up my suspension (all stock still), but the rear was throwing me over the handlebars. It is ridiculous. I softened it up even more and it is better (at least I can jump more comfortably), but it is no where near as nice as my buddy's Scrambler or my other buddy's KFX, both are stock :icon_evil: So while I intend to send my shocks out this winter I am going to ride with them as is. OK, we ride a lot of trails, hill climb, jump... we really do most everything aside from dune riding. I am ~215#s, and as a general rule prefe…

There's guys from all over the country here and it's cool to see all the different terrain you guys tear up! I'll go first. I ride at the Impereal Sand Dunes. Glamis and Gordans Wells. It's about a 3 hr drive from my house. We usually go out and camp for 3 days and burn allot of gas. All of these pictures are from right after it rained, it doesn't happen often but it's fun as hell tearing up wet sand! Well, I did decent last weekend out so decided to move forward and make the Honda a full blown TT quad. It started as a trail machine, and has progressed into flat track. Here's what it was early last year http://www.offtopic.forum/uploads/imported/2012/05/20120304_133255_7101-1.jpg I've added +2 Ishock ST a arms, a rear lowering link and removed the rear swingarm. Currently running spacers on the rear that total 3 in. wider. Motor has 13:1 piston that was put in this summer, with a 02 CRF cam. Front Suspension is triple rate rebuilds, they're in need of some work so i can get them to my liking. Rath sway bar is on the way and will be put on tomorrow afte…

Got this on a bike I picked up a while ago.. Guy said it was a Dominator but I have Dominator II's on both my rear ends and it's different (and no laser etching, but don't know if the Dom 1 had etching or not). Stock length is 29" from inner hub flange to inner hub flange, this is 30.5" with approx 1.5" of spacers (note the chamfer) on each end so I'm guessing it gets sold as a +1 to +4. It has a serial number on it ( 350876 P100499 ) but I can't find anything from a google search. The only other markings are "450R" on the hub, the hub is a clip type hub, rather than the pressed on, that I do recognize, but can't remember where from.. I had an LSR before my Dom's b…

Summed up perfectly, we have a cover up that cost American patriots/hero's lives. I was willing to give this admin a chance (did not vote for him) but this is out of control. What has happened to American journalists, they turn a blind eye because of their love of the first African-American President. Where is 60 minutes??? So inspite of being knee-deep in work right now I thought I would jump on here and ask you guys a few questions. Who here would be interested in learning some more about building motors and learning new things about how to set deck height, clay checking, cam timing, etc. We had a couple customers recently complain about our CNC head, but neither could tell me where the deck height was set, where the cam timing was set at, where the ignition timing was, NOTHING! Bugs me beyond belief. I walked one guy through all the small details that all add up when building a motor and guess what, motor went from 56 to 62 as a stockbore. Motors are all about components used, and…

Went to do the 06+ swingarm today. My 04 swinger has a lonestar (or knock off Im not sure) that is trashed. So I bought a nice magnum/rad carrier (one with the grease zerk on the outside next to the adjustment holes). This sucker has some really weird adjustment holes btw, they are large and kinda ovular shaped and open on the outside. Everything went great until I go to put the sprocket back on. Carrier is hitting the sprocket bolts in a few spots near the adjustment holes on the top. It clears otherwise, which is odd. I checked axle, doesnt seem bent to me. When i took it apart the axle had some nice gouges (1/16" thick of that) in it where the bearing rides and so d…

So we finally started moving a bit of dirt.. found a broken drainage pipe hence why the land is still moist, so we only brought the dozer in on the outside line. My bike is still in shambles so my little 10 y/o rookie cousin has to be the crash test pilot lol. Here is an areal shot of the area.. My uncle owns a cartage company so that's his shop right beside the location of the track (outlined in green) http://www.offtopic.forum/uploads/imported/2013/05/trackv-1.jpg We only got a bit of the track outlined and built 2 little jumps and a small bank for my cousin to start learning the physics of airing it out and turing, which he's picking up pretty quickly. …
