A federal China commission released its sprawling yearly report to Congress on Tuesday, for the first time recommending lawmakers end China’s favored trade status and end the provision that allows goods under $800 to enter the U.S. duty-free. The U.S.-China Economic and Security Review Commission, established by Congress as a bipartisan entity to investigate and provide policy recommendations on China, is now directly advocating for Congress to end the Permanent Normal Trade Relations (PNTR) China has enjoyed since 2004. The committee will pitch its 83 policy recommendations to lawmakers on Tuesday, along with a report on China's military capabilities, its threats to U.…

Donald Trump's sentencing for 34 criminal charges in the state of New York was abruptly adjourned by the court Tuesday without explanation, giving the presiding judge additional time to weigh how to proceed. The delayed sentencing came on the same day that District Attorney Alvin Bragg was slated to file a recommendation to Judge Juan Merchan on how to proceed. Trump was convicted in May by a Manhattan jury on 34 counts of falsifying business records, stemming from a case about payments made to porn star Stormy Daniels, which could have landed him a maximum sentence of up to four years in prison. But the presidential race — and Trump’s victory — had thrown the timeline …

A few years ago, a dear friend of mine was drunk and crashed his car into his house in the Caribbean. Luckily, both he and his house were OK. It was after this that I discovered he suffered from Alcohol Use Disorder and he was started on naltrexone, an opioid antagonist which also decreases alcohol craving. My friend got better, and soon his drinking was markedly diminished and he enjoyed the last several years of his life. But sometimes I wonder if he could have done better, as the naltrexone gave him nausea and wasn’t entirely effective. Another treatment is now about to come to a doctor’s office near you, and it's one you’ve heard a lot about in other contexts, namely …

EXCLUSIVE: A Republican lawmaker has launched a new congressional caucus aimed at working hand-in-hand with President-elect Trump’s soon-to-be DOGE – Department of Government Efficiency. Rep. Aaron Bean, R-Fla., said he dispatched a "Dear Colleague" letter overnight Tuesday seeking other lawmakers to join him. The practice is standard for members seeking co-sponsors of legislation. Protests erupted near the office of Rep. Seth Moulton, D-Mass., shortly after he spoke out against transgender athletes competing in women's sports, a stance that veers away from his party's mainstream views. "I'm not afraid of protests," Moulton told Lawrence Jones during "Fox & Friends" on Tuesday. "People [are] protesting out in front of my office all the time because they think I'm too pro-Israel, for example. And so protests are OK. They're part of freedom of speech… We just need to be willing to talk about these contentious issues. And I'm not anti-trans either. In fact, I have a strong record of supporting trans people, including trans kids. And this isn't abo…

U.S. allies in Europe allege Russia is "escalating hybrid activities" against NATO and EU nations following the severing of two data cables in the Baltic Sea. The declaration comes as Moscow says Ukrainian forces have fired six U.S.-made missiles into Russian territory on Tuesday. In the two days beforehand, the cables linking Finland to Germany and Sweden to Lithuania were slashed underwater, according to Reuters. "No one believes that these cables were cut accidentally," German Defense Minister Boris Pistorius was quoted by Reuters as saying Tuesday. "We also have to assume, without knowing it yet, that it is sabotage." "If Russia does not stop committing acts of sab…

A state judge knocked down two laws restricting abortion in Wyoming on Monday, ruling that they violated protections in the state's constitution that allow patients to determine the health care choices that are best for them. The first law prohibited abortion entirely, with an exception for instances where the life of the mother is in jeopardy, or in cases involving rape or incest. The second law that was shot down was a first-of-its-kind ban on medication-induced abortions. Teton County District Judge Melissa Owens said that the two statutes "impede the fundamental right to make health care decisions for an entire class of people, pregnant women." PENCE SAYS HE OPPOSES…

Rep. Nancy Mace, R-S.C., clashed with her critics online Tuesday as she faces backlash for her resolution to bar men who identify as female from the women's restrooms on Capitol Hill. Mace filed the resolution on Monday, which Fox News Digital's Elizabeth Elkind first reported will prohibit "Members, officers, and employees of the House from using single-sex facilities other than those corresponding to their biological sex." The resolution comes just as the first openly transgender lawmaker, Rep.-elect Sarah McBride, D-Del., is set to join Congress in January. McBride is a biological male who identifies and presents as a woman. "This is a blatant attempt from far right-…

California Gov. Gavin Newsom has reached a decision on a pair of clemency requests for Erik and Joseph "Lyle" Menendez, the two Beverly Hills brothers serving life without parole for the murder of their parents in 1989. He will hold off until the newly elected Los Angeles District Attorney Nathan Hochman has time to review the case, respecting the will of the voters who sent the far left progressive George Gascon packing on Election Day, he said. "The Governor respects the role of the District Attorney in ensuring justice is served and recognizes that voters have entrusted District Attorney-elect Hochman to carry out this responsibility," Newsom's office said in a stateme…

Springfield, Ohio, was thrust into the national spotlight this election cycle due to the vast number of Haitian migrants who had settled in the town over the last few years, but some of those migrants have already packed their bags and left in the wake of President-elect Trump’s sweeping win. MSNBC's Joe Scarborough and Mika Brzezinski returned to Mar-a-Lago for the first time in more than eight years to meet with President-elect Trump. And let's just say the reception from the left and right and everywhere in between ranged anywhere from anger to mockery to WTF?! Depending on the source. It's easy for anyone sane and sober to fall into the last two camps of mockery and WTF?!, because we've all heard what Joe and Mika have been saying on "Morning Joe" ever since they turned on him in the spring of 2016, for one possible reason we'll discuss in a bit. Just to review, Scarborough has said during this 2024 campaign season that "the American experiment" could be…
