Sharepoint connection issues after password reset
by Guest JJPeloquin- 0 replies

We have some XP SP3 machines on our domain that are popping up the same problem: after a domain account password reset (done by admin or the user), they are prompted for credentials when trying to access our Sharepoint site. It's only on that PC, and all of the Intranet and Internet trusted sites are set properly according to group policy. So far, the only fixes we've managed to find are to restore or recreate the profile. Is there something else we can try, or a known fix that my Google-fu is not picking up on? Thanks much. by Guest Dustin.D- 0 replies

Hi All, A client is trying to run an application which requires admin rights for specific functions. However it is showing (even with UAC off) the user is running the application with medium integrity (as a user). When running the application with UAC on "run as admin' it still returns as being ran with medium integrity (as a user). Any idea what could be causing this? Thanks, Dustin Continue reading...

Copy Profile Question
by Guest Obujuwami- 0 replies
Hello All, Thanks to many of you my image is currently very stable, lean, and mean (on inappropriate access) but I have run into issues with my printers. On my network, we have all 30+ printers installed locally via standard TCP/IP ports. We are unable to have a print server because of the main program we are running and I am now in a position where I need to set default settings on several printers. Going forward, I want this to be automated and, if possible, set in my default profile at sysprep. I currently am using the "Copy Admin profile" option in my script and it has worked beautifully for the last year, but I have never experimented with printers. Does anyone…

If a file has been quarantined by MSSE, is it really off of my computer?
by Guest Terry 'Cartoon' Marburger- 0 replies

When files are Removed or Quarantined by 'MSSE' are they truly off of your computer? Three files in my history, Two files were removed; the third was just quarantined and, it was: { Trojan:JS/Iframe.AO }. This file had me locked up to where anly a 'Forced PowerOff' and reboot got me back. There had been a warning window that I believe just mimicked MSSE asking you to go elsewhere to a non-microsoft site to download the tools to fix the issue. What a mess. Seem to have it under controll. So how do I remove this item that has been Quarantined, and is it really off if it has been removed? I have that program CCleaner, it is a great product to assist MSSE. The big thin…

Turned off offline files, but it is not off
by Guest tinyang- 0 replies

I have an XP SP3 desktop which had offline files enabled for a network file share from a Windows storage server 2003 R2. I turned off offline files (Explorer > Tools > folder options > Offline Files > uncheck 'Enable offline folders' > apply > OK > reboot) on the desktop, but the offline files still seem to be on. When the user started deleting the folders that were left over from offline sync on the desktop, the corresponding folders on the server were also deleted. How do I remove this offline folders connection for good so that we can remove the offline copies on the desktop w/out removing the items on the server? Thanks. Continue reading...
