Looking for any help!!!! Multiple Laptops Running Windows XP SP3. After, and only after SEP 12 was installed with Virtualization support, machines will randomly Blue screen. So far the only "Cure" is to boot up in Safe Mode and remove the Virtualization piece. Which defeats the purpose. Two different Models. HP Elitebook 8740 and 8760. Updated to the T with software updates including Video, bios, Intel chipset, etc. Funny thing is, the desktops are NOT doing this and they run fine. What gives? Continue reading...

I just purchased a new computer with Windows 7 and Microsoft Office 2010 with Outlook. I used the Windows Easy Transfer feature to transfer all my old files from a computer running Windows XP and Microsoft Office 2003 with Outlook. Everything worked fine except on one user account out of 5 user accounts. In the user account in question, when I tried to open Outlook, it asked for the old user account password, which I entered but kept on getting a message saying password was invalid. So after mutiple tries I closed the message box, thinking I will tackle the problem at a later time. Now everytime I try to open Outlook in this user account I get the above message with no op…

It is a hanging. Trying to get out of it.

This is a problem that I have had with Windows Defender, and, now, with Microsoft Security Suite. Whenever I run a scan, my computer will freeze about 85% through the scan. Defender was the same. I, sometimes, get the same result during a Windows/Microsoft Update Installation. Only at those times. This is an older computer that runs XP Pro SP3. I have another that runs Vista Home Basic plus one that runs Windows 7 Pro. Only the XP one has the issue. Everything else runs fine. Super Anti Spyware works perfectly. It is just the Microsoft/Windows products that hang. A relatively reasonable solution would be appreciated. No, I am not going to update the OS on this computer. I…

Problem: I try to open attachments from encrypted emails when I get the "open,save/save as" box and try all 3 and I just get a blank page after that. Also, I cannot download files in general. I tried downloading ie9 again click on save or save as and nothing happens. Hi All, I've very weird problem with security essential. I downloaded the security essential when I bought my netbook. For few months it was working fine. I was able to update it regularly. Now, somehow, it is not getting activated. I mean, it is off in my system. The notification area shows that security essential is off. When, I click on that to turn it on, the turn on button is grey out. - I searched a lot to find out the reason but there is no help at all. - I found the microsoft defender is creating the trouble, I turn it off and tried to on the security essential but no luck. - I also tried to update it but there is no luck again. Windows claims installation is not genuine
by Guest PC Wrangler- 0 replies

One of my coworkers has a problem with Windows 7 on his Dell laptop. He had to do a system restore to fix another problem, and now he gets a pop-up from Windows Activation Technology claiming that his installation of Windows 7 Pro x64 is not genuine. I checked in Control Panel > System, and it says that his copy is genuine and activated (this is a Dell OEM installation). I tried using slmgr.vbs to enter the product key from the machine's COA and then activate it, but that didn't fix it. So I ran the MGADiag utility (see below). Does anyone have a clue how to fix this mess? Diagnostic Report (1.9.0027.0): ----------------------------------------- Windows Val…

I am attempting to access the "? mark for help in Outlook 2010. I want to know where I can set the program to automatically perform a "send / receive" every x number of minutes. Each time I click the "?" upper right hand corner, Outlook attempts to run Setup to configure -whatever-, then asks me to reboot. I've been through this nut roll for about times now and never get the help I need. I've "repaired" using the original MS Office 2010 DVD with no success? Am I alone in the world with this issue?
