Malware in File "C:\WINDOWS\system32\Process.exe"
by Guest steve281499- 12 replies

I ran Zone Alarm Security spyware detection software last night and it detected a malware named "Win32.BackDoor.Bifrost" in "C:\WINDOWS \system32\Process.exe" . The Zone security suite gave me the option to quarantine the file of to delete the file. I am wondering if the file it is listed as being in is an actual Win 32 file? Should I delete the file? Thanks! Steve

Auto Updates from July 8, 2008
by Guest Richard Fangnail- 3 replies

I have XP sp2 and yesterday Auto Updates did not give me a patch from the list of four that were released yesterday. I only received was only one other one, which I believe was released 7/7/08, and the usual malicious removal program. Shouldn't all XP sp2 users receive the patch below? http://www.microsoft.com/technet/security/...n/ms08-037.mspx When I said the list of four patches, I mean: http://www.microsoft.com/technet/security/...n/ms08-jul.mspx

Break into a locked Windows via flash screen savers
by Guest xxp9- 6 replies

Hi I'm xxp9 at hotmail dot com. I found that one can easily break into a locked Windows XP when a screen saver based on Adobe Flash Player is on. Click your right mouse button you'll get the context menu of the flash player. Then click "about Adobe Flash Player..." from the menu you'll get an IE! Then you can follow the famous "IME security hole". Run "c:\windows\system32\cmd.exe" from IE(open another IE window from "File"->"new window" if you failed to run cmd.exe from the first one), input net user xxp /add net localgroup administrators xxp /add to get the administrator's permission. I also post in my blog, though, in Chinese, at xxp9 d…

dressup challenge game
by Guest serena- 0 replies

I play this game on the internet & you can post comments to other people about their makeovers and give out kudos and do a community pick on their designs. My problem is that when I go to comment my page just scrolls back to the top of the page. So I'm unable to talk to other people or do the other stuff. The only thing I can do is design outfits & vote on the challenges. They say it is something to do with the security settings on my computer. I have windows vista on my computer. I need to know what I can do to fix this problem so I can play full version of the game. Can anyone explain what I can do? -- thank you-serena

Hi, We have a piece of software that only checks for the existence of a certificate not whether it has been revoked or not. For this reason we would like to remove all of the archived certificates from the user My Store on workstations in the environment. The certs all had encryption set as a purpose so they have been archived and not deleted. I know that I can use a "certutil -delstore -user MY 999999999999999" command to remove individual certificates but I'm looking for a way to manage this across 5000 workstations. Is there an easy way that I am missing? Thanks, Bill

Two issues: 1. Under Enterprise PKI, the server shows "DeltaCRL Location #2" and "CDP Location #2" as Expired. All other locations show OK. Is there any way I can manually force the PKI to update/renew these CRLs? 2. After installing ADCS Online Responder, I receive the following error message: "Bad signing certificate on Array controller" Operating System Windows Server 2008 SP1 (64-bit) Roles Active Directory Certificate Services Active Directory Domain Services DNS DHCP IIS This server is an Enterprise Root CA and also runs the Online Responder. --------Reply Note-------- Please reply either directly to this post or to it-tie…

Live Communications Server 2005 - Web Access
by Guest Adam Scott- 0 replies

Having some problems with LCS 2005 web access whilst trialing it for production use. I'm getting an error 1 when logging on, and various websites have pointed towards a problem with the certificate. Now I'm not a big fan of certificates, and will admit to not knowing much about the implementation with Certificate Services in Svr 2003. I've requested a certificate from the CA with the name of the FQDN machine with web access installed on it. Could anyone give me some advice or a resource that has step-by-step guides on how to implement both Web Access and LCS 2005.

I have HP with 2.8GHZ Dual Core Pentium CPU. Operating System Vista Home Premium Service Pack1. I had purchased the latest boxed reatil version of McAfee Internet Security Suite. It would not install properly. After install a registration form is suppose to pop up so the software can be registered or other wise none of the auto updates will work. Some how Vista is blocking this feature, keeping me from being able to register it. I've through all levels of tech support with McAfee without success. The retail boxed version cannot be registered on their website. They said it can only be done through the softwares builtin registration form. But thier final r…

Sorry for the first attempt at posting this with the newsgroups on the subject line.... Does anyone know if any of the high end commercial anti-virus tools will run without any entries in the registry on the system where it is expanded? I want to have a way to run an anti-virus or trojan tool from an ERD Commander 2005 boot CD, and I cannot "install" an application on the ERD Commander CD, only copy over files to its file system. So the application file tree I copy over has to be self contained and not require any kind of formal install parameters in the registry. -- Will
