Java not working in Internet Explorer
by Guest AJCottrell- 0 replies

I normally use another browser (Google Chrome) but need to use Internet Explorer for a particular online banking service. This service requires a Java applet. I have the current Java environment (as at 21.3.12), SE 6 Update 31. Java works in Chrome but does not work in IE8 or IE9. I have un-installed and re-installed Java several times, tried going back to IE8, turned off ActiveX filtering, confirmed Java scripting is on, checked add-ins are managed correctly and so on and so on, without success. Given Java works it is not a Java issue but must be an IE issue. Are there any additional steps or diagnostics I can run to try to identify the problem as I need this to be r…

Repost: Slow Internet Explorer Version 8 on Windows Server 2003
by Guest BenboFarkern- 0 replies

Up until a month ago IE8 was working fine on my Windows 2003 server – which I use as a development machine - but something is now affecting the performance of IE8 making it almost unusable, and forcing me reluctantly to use other browsers such as Chrome. Perhaps someone can make sense of it all? For example: (a) Google’s predictive search drop down causes IE8 to almost freeze up, particularly if the backspace key is used to make corrections; (b) right clicking over a page link can often take half a minute before the right-click menu appears; © moving through IE8 page tabs is very slow - or the tab refresh is very slow. Task Manager indicates high CPU usage, so IE8 is bu…

MDOP DaRT - REFRESH scenario
by Guest jimc84- 0 replies

Hi, I'm using ConfigMgr 2007 R2 (SP3) to deploy our Windows 7 64-Bit Images and have been successful in applying DaRT in 'Bare-metal' deployments (outside of WinPE) but unsuccessful when trying to install same in a 'Refresh' scenario (Win7-Win7 using USMT hardlinking). The WinRE.wim file is successfully copied to the hidden (i assign a drive letter to it using a diskpart script) partition (which also acts as the Bitlocker partition) but when i try to run the 'reagentc.exe /enable' option in the Task Sequence, i get the following error message: REAGENTC.EXE: Operation failed: 5;<o:p></o:p> Access is denied.;<o:p></o:p> Failed to run the action:…

After going through the relevent posts already asked here, I checked the 'directx diagnostic tool'. It showed DirectX version 11. Now, after that when I tried to run the DirectX setup tool provided in microsoft's website, it showed error:- "An internal system error occured. Please refer to DXError.log …

by Guest Jerry Ferro- 0 replies

I have three hard drives on my computer running Windows 7 professional. I have an external hard drive which I use for backup. Windows 7 is a clean install on drive C. The second drive is partitioned G,H,I. The third drive is partitioned DEF. Backup used to work fine. Now, whenever I try to back up my computer, I get the message, do you want to format drive D? When I open Windows Explorer and locate my drives, it only lists drives C,D,E. What is going on? It's a like all of the partitions have disappeared. When I reboot the computer, all of my drives and partitions are shown again. If I tried to back up again, the same thing happens. I have no idea what to do. Continue …
