  1. Taken from my post on LPU/LPA: -The bass track is MUCH more well-defined than it is on the final mix. -The guitar in the 2 pre-choruses is much louder and isn't as effected as it is on the final mix. -The drum beat in the bridge is different (the final version has an extra snare hit in each bar). -At the very end, the cymbal Rob hits is a much trashier-sounding china cymbal than the one he uses on the final version. -Various samples are louder/softer than they are in the final mix (check out the part where the intro riff comes back in before the bridge). -The overall drum sound has a lot more presence, particularly on the kick and snare. (holy crap I hardly ever post at LPF)
  2. I'm proud to say I've done 3 collabs with Agent for Xero Focus/Defcon Xero. Best fan remixer I've ever heard, and an all-around great guy.
  3. lol no offense man but I think if you took LP's lyrics and wrote them from a woman's perspective you'd get something similar to Evanescence. Evanescence isn't emo, they're like metal/goth/alt. rock. They happen to be MTV-friendly because they have a girl for a singer who just happened to become a huge pop culture icon. I'd say nu metal but that implies rapping, which they don't have in any songs other than Bring Me to Life. Emo (as a genre of music, I personally hate the word when used to describe anything other than music) would be like Fallout Boy, Hawthorne Heights, Taking Back Sunday, Dashboard Confessional, My Chemical Romance, Underoath, Brand New, Panic at the Disco...etc. Most of which suck in my opinion. I don't like their new single though, it's all poppy and stuff. =/

    Hey

I'm Astat, I know a lot of you already know me as the trader guy with loads of useful information from loads of LP sites...here's all the ones I'm a member/have been a member of that I can think of: Linkinpark.com (Aphelion) LPU LPST FM.com FM Militia FMST LP Association (tasta) Forfeit the Game Erase the Pain LP:Fuse Chestersings LP Times (not a member but I've contributed some news) The-Untitled (defunct, I was an admin on that site) And if you're one of the torrent-downloading type people, you've probably seen me on Dimeadozen. So yeah, I'm sure the majority of you know me. I dunno why I hadn't registered here yet, but as usual, any questions relating to LP, I can probably help clear them up, and I've never been much of a postwhore, so you'll see me lurking all the time but not posting much.
  5. ^ Full 8-12 bootleg (Osaka) was released yesterday. It's on LPFuse.
  6. ^ Yeah, that's Mark Wakefield. I actually don't think anybody other than Mike and Chester do vocals on the albums. Most of the singing is just studio layering of Chester's vocals and Mike tries to do as much of it as he can when they play live. They list the other members as "backing vocals" probably as just a way to make it more fair as far as splitting up songwriting credit. None of the other members ever have microphones in front of them live, although Phoenix does in the video for It's Goin' Down, but he wasn't even in the studio version of that song and Chester does the backing vocals live. Phoenix did sing backups in The Snax though.
  7. The first PMA Piano is from 8-13. I haven't listened to all of it yet but I think I prefer 8-12 a little bit.
