  1. Enjoy those college years! Once it's over, it's over. Emotionally, it hits harder than leaving high school. Luckily, if you made friends and connections, you are typically set for life socially and career-wise. Live it up and scratch some stuff off your bucket list. Oh, and study, too.
  2. When I struggle with falling asleep, I listen to Demon Days by Gorillaz. I spent a year falling asleep to it when I was younger, so now whenever I hear it I get sleepy. Pick something you don't have a strong emotion towards and just listen to it when you try to sleep. There have been studies done that show that Coldplay is the best band to do this with!
  3. I just finished watching Daredevil on Netflix and it was great! Hilarious, brutal show. I'm over half-way through Attack on Titan as well. I'm enjoying that as well (no spoilers please)!
  4. I understand completely. I used to love metal, but I rarely listen to it anymore. I still appreciate it, though. I'm a sucker for change, though, and the new sound on this record made me happy to here.
  5. Here it is on YouTube. Great video.
  6. I would remove the LPF Games section or at least hide it for now. The LPF trader never really worked even during the site's heyday, so it might be worth thinking about removing it as well.

    Overseas

I'm only five hours from Canada and I have never been there. I might actually have to dig up my passport and make some plans to get there. I honestly always forget it is there. I spent a month in Greece a year before their recession took hold. It was a beautiful country. I met all sorts of interesting people - Iraqis, Iranians, Russians, Greeks, English, and Canadians. I was amazed at the cosmopolitan make-up of Athens. My understanding is that a lot of Europe is similar, with many people from different languages and backgrounds all packed together. I say packed together because its hard using a water closet when you are 6'2''. I remember coming back from Greece and being amazed at the size of my car and my dorm room. I'm hoping to go back someday for a vacation when their financial situation stablizes a bit.
  8. Hello, fellow 'elites'. If you happen to land here again somehow, I would encourage you to paper the site with some posts. Even if they aren't 'great', it will help generate interest. Any activity by real human beings is a sign of life and will turnover into new members signing up and old members returning.
  9. I think Waiting For The End is one of their best videos.
  10. I haven't heard the whole album yet, but I've found some of the songs refreshing. Linkin Park has always been a better rock band than an alternative band.

Have you ever been overseas? If so, what was it like and where did you go?
  12. Bonus question: Favorite show on Netflix? I'm a big Doctor Who fan and I'm looking forward to the next season.
  13. I'm pluggin' my favorite band. Now, I'll be honest: this is weird music. People seem to hate it at first, but then they connect with the lyrics, which helps them get past the overall weird and strange way the band's music sounds. Easier to listen to: , a single off the new album coming out in May. , a very popular song off their 2013 album. Gettin' deep: was played on the MTV Music Awards, but the thing that I'd like to point out is that this is what it's like to see them live. is one of the only pure 'rap' tracks that Twenty One Pilots does. Over the edge: A Car, A Torch, A Death from their first independent album and one of my personal favorites. Kitchen Sink is off their second independent album and a fan favorite. They still play it at shows. is the only song off their first independent album that has stayed popular.
  14. I'm Clogz. Unfortunately, some of you knew me when I was a teenager. I apologize about all that nasty business. I turned out OK, though. I've been part of LPF since 2004, but I was gone for a good three years. So, what now? I'm almost 28 years old. I'm an American. I'm a Christian and it does dominate a good chunk of my life. I studied Biblical Literature in college and I've held a ton of interesting jobs since graduating high school, including: various janitor jobs, working in radio/music industry, and working as a youth minister in a church. I spent the last year working as a 'mental health tech' in a residential treatement facility for adolescent drug addicts with a medium to high level of aggression. I've been married for almost six years. I have a dog and a cat. I love my family. As for music? Linkin Park is still on my iPod. However, my taste in music has changed a lot. I'm into alternative, rock, and EDM. I've moved on from metal and punk. My favorite band right now is Twenty One Pilots. Frankly, I don't shut up about them. I'm more obsessed with this band than I ever was with Linkin Park.
  15. I know several of us have tried to find a "new home" or "forum" or whatever and it hasn't worked out for one reason or another. But, hey: give http://www.reddit.com/r/lpf a try. I created this place so that we could all gather together again. Reddit makes it incredibly easy to create an account, post content of all kinds, as well as retain a degree of anonymity - which we couldn't get on Facebook. Give it a shot! I plan on also creating a way to put your old LPF SN next to your Reddit SN, that way we can all keep track of each other if our "names" have changed over the years. Hope everyone is doing well.
