  1. They are being made, but I am not sure if they are advertising them yet, I think they are still kind of being tested. I am waiting on one for my 700XX, not sure when I will get one. Best bet would be to call and ask, I haven't got an update in a while. Doug
  2. I will be out there. Driving out Friday evening after work and then have to leave early Sunday morning, but at least I will have all day Saturday to ride. The people I am staying with will be camping at little Dumont. Doug
  3. Dunk them in water again and check for air bubbles around the lug holes. I have had a couple of the new DWT beadlocks where the welded seam had a few pin holes and caused a small leak. (The seam at the cener of the rim where they weld the two halves together.) I just smeared some silicone on the seam and that sealed them up. Doug
  4. Couldn't have said it better. Some of you guys say how much you hate the place, yet you still go over there. If you hate it that much, DON'T LOG IN THERE! I actually joined over here to get away from this crap, yet you guys drag it over here, why? Grow up and let it go, as Baileyguns said, it is the fucking internet! Doug
  5. Heard about this about an hour ago on Speed, a great automotive icon has been lost, sad day. My dream car has always been a 1967 Shelby GT500. Will never be able to afford an original, but someday I would like to build a clone. Doug
  6. That's not an 86, at least the frame and swingarm aren't. The swingarm is 88/89, they came with an aluminum swingarm. The frame also looks like 88/89, but could be a 87. (If I had a better pic of the footpegs I could tell for sure.) Maybe 86 motor? Could be a mixxed bag of parts. Still, for $500, looks like a good deal. Of course, how is parts availability up there in Canada for 250R's? You will for sure need parts for it, just depends on how much stuff is. OEM 250R parts have been getting more expensive over the years, I would bet even more so up in Canada. Also, alot of stuff is discontinued, but still pretty easy to find used stuff if you need something, but what you can get up in Canada would be my concern. Doug
  7. If you place the stock link on is side on a table, then put the Herrmann link on its side on top of it, how does the shock hole compare between the two? If it is close to the same, then it is probably a MX link. If the shock hole in the Herrmann link is lower, then it is probably a XC link. Usually, a XC link will hang lower, since it will allow a longer shock length to be used to allow more uptravel due to the larger tire size. Thats about the only way I can think of, unless someone has a Herrmann link laying around that they now what is is and can give exact measurements. Doug
