Ohhh....I love Nas...he's is the best lyricist out there!
And yes...it would be funny to see Ludacris and Mike doing a collabo...although Ludacris did Get back with Sum 41
As far as Mike doing a solo album....I don't know how I feel about that. Honestly, Mike always will have a rock influence as well as a hip-hop one. But I'm worried his rock influence would be too much for hardcore rap and hip-hop fans. I mean...Mike is hip-hop, no denying that, but is he hip-hop enough.
Although hip-hop is open to anyone being a fan, it is a lot harder to get into it as an emcee....Mike is an emcee, no denying that either...but the first thing people are going to do is compare him to every other emcee. I love Mike to Reese's Pieces, but he is no match to Nas, Beastie Boys, Tupac, Biggie, Jay-Z and even Eminem.
I don't know if him doing a solo is that good of an idea....I mean, what he does with Linkin Park is perfect because it isn't too much hip-hop or too much rock...it's that rare perfect blend. But to put him in a setting that is just hip-hop, I don't know if he would be able to hold his own against other hip-hop heavyweights.
But I support Mike in whatever he does. That's my boy! So, if he were to read this, I say follow your heart, mind and wallet! Hehehe....not really the wallet part but definitely the heart. Just follow your heart.
No disrespect, No offense
One Love
