  1. how much money would you pay for chesters cell phone number?
  2. technically, session wasnt a Hahn solo track. In the liner notes, it says that particular song was Shinoda's brainchild and hahn only helped... just so you know
  3. one of the following would be sweet: 1. "Jump" by Van Halen 2. "1979" by the Smashing pumpkins 3. "Evenflow" by Pearl Jam 4. "Enter Sandman" by Metallica 5. "Ironman" by Black Sabbath 6. "Sweet Child of Mine" by Guns n' roses 7. "Welcome to Paradise" by Green day 8. "For You" by staind 9. "Against all Odds" by Phil collins 10. "Hey Jude" by the beatles hey why not do a cover album... its been done but u gotta admit it would be sweet
  4. in order for that to happen one of the following needs to happen: 1. They get some street cred (or good reviews ) 2. they outsell Hybrid Theory 3. They have another song that gets really high on the pop chart 4. Mathew Effect dissapates finally. 5. I build time machine, go back to 1983, have a long conversation with eddie van halen, come back to 2005 and act like i wrote the song "jump" and anonymously slip it under chester's doorstep. 6. everyone stops making music but linkin park. 7. This forum bombarding the grammy committe with mail
  5. on the whole street cred issue where do you all think they stand?
  6. Read this before you rant for 3 hours...sheesh.
  7. okay here it is:Limp Bizkit won in 2001 since they had been around longer than lp at the time. They were probably the frontrunners. They have retired several videos on TRL. Lp has never even made TRL as far as i know, and has had crappy luck with pop-crossover attempts. Thats why limp bizkit won: The pop scene liked them more. This did not reflect the rock scene. Jet won in '04 because it was old-school. It represented the old rock'n'roll ideals. Plus the song actually sounds like an older '80s song. So i suppose thats why it won. There. I officially put this vendetta to rest.
  8. that does make sense...people that watch mtv are tarded so jet would appeal to them more... i like that theory
  9. oops i made a boo-boo. Usher and nsync should be reversed because i forgot about about Timberlake's solo album, but you got my point
  10. If it happens it will be a smashing success and here's why: I did some album sales research and here were my findings: Hybrid theory was the # 1-selling album of 2001 Meteora was the #3-selling album of 2003 The Marshall Mathers LP was the #2-selling album in 2000 The Eminem Show was the #1-selling album of 2002 Encore was the #3-selling album of 2004 Get Rich or Die Tryin was the #1-selling album 0f 2003 No sh*t. i'm totally for real.If this doesnt speak volumes to you then ill put it this way. These 3 artists are some of THE most popular artists of the new millennium. in album sales terms if we put them into the top 6 selling artists of 2000-2005 would look like this: 1. Eminem 2. Norah Jones 3. Linkin Park 4 .Usher 5. *Nsync 6. 50 Cent(if you count him solo and with G-unit) (These are estimates since a stat like that is hard to come by) The tour would make history. people will see a tour if they admire 2 of the 3 artists. Who agrees with me?
  11. Okay i admit my idea was a litttle dumb... but LP do have enough singles to justify a greatest hits Album! Here: 1. One Step Closer 2. Crawling 3. In the End 4. Papercut 5. Points of Authority 6. It's Goin Down (featuring the X-ecutioners) 7. Pts.of.Athrty 8. Somewhere I Belong 9. Faint 10. Numb 11. Lying From You 12. Breaking the Habit 13. Numb/Encore (featuring Jay-Z) All these songs, (plus Runaway which technically wasn,t a single) Have gotten radio airplay! how could you release that many singles in four years?! the only other groups to do that are like.. the Beatles , Led Zeppelin, AC/DC and Van Halen. I say linkinpark should put out a greatest hits album! now. who agrees with me?
  12. Linkin park lost best rock video to jet. I told you. those nominees you named arent correct . you must have gotten another awards show mixed up. its okay i forgive you
  13. AARRGH! (throws chair!) I'm so pissed off right now!this is bullcrap! I took a look at the vma 2001 archives. I had never watched any VMA before '02. i did some calculations, realizing with an october 2000 release date for hybrid theory would mean Crawling would fall into an eligible date for being nominated for best Rock video and indeed it was. Its competitors were "hash pipe" by Weezer, "Jaded" by Aerosmith,"it's been Awhile" by staind and "Rollin'" by Limp bizkit; Aerosmith is too old a band to recieve recognition on MTV, so they couldn't have won. Weezer, let's face it, could never win awards on a Network that wont let nerds sit in the audience on TRL. Staind is out, because the video was just them playing the song in a room of candles.. a bit too simplistic. Limp Bizkit and Linkin park were the only ones that could could have concievably won.. but guess what. "rollin'" took the award (sobs) Just in case you haven't seen rollin' . The Video SUCKS!!!! Its just the band performing the song With abunch of pyrotechnics, cheerleadrers, and motorcycles,(hence, the song's title, rollin. Genius, huh? pfft) It was a combination of rock video cliche and hip-hop video cliche. Not to mention a one-word chorus that sounds like it was written by a 5th grade garage band. Also the song was voted the 4th most awesomely bad song EVER by Vh1. All this and Mtv Awards them the Holy grail of Rock Video Awards. Crawling is clearly the better video. If youre on this forum, youve seen it. Crawling is better. I DARE ANYBODY to say otherwise! I say we all get together and start an LP-vendetta site, Where we express our horrid feelings about jet, Limp bizkit, and U2(since it was their album "All that you cant leave behind" that won them the grammy for best rock album, beating out hybrid theory) etc. it would be like those Anti-ja rule sites that 50cent fans control. Who is with me? Linkin park should have won for crawling and breaking the habit. It should have been a four-year clean sweep. Help prevent this injustice. let me know if anyone wants to discuss either their agreement or disagreement with my views, or join my club of jet and limp-bizkit haters. (i welcome all opinions)
