You couldn't be more right! I am getting to that point w/ this friend, it is just that we have been thru the death of her two parents together and known each other for 16 years. Granted, the fact her parents are both deceased is NO excuse for her selfishness!!

Phantom...I see what you are saying but in this case, there is really no reason to go overboard into a debt she can't afford until she knows what is going on. She is just getting the cells taken out...there has been no tests telling her what to expect yet so in that regard, she is jumping the gun totally. I had a friend that I watched her kid ANY time she needed it too! On night my fiance and I wanted to go to the Fireman's Fall Dinner for a few hours, she said that she really didn't want all the kids in her house cuz she just cleaned! I only have one kid mind you....oh fuck, i was so fucking pissed off i haven't watched her kid since and that was about 4 years ago...that was just wrong of her!

I do know exactly what you mean when talking about being there for your "friends" but when you need someone they are not there for you! I think you are totally justified to feel like "ok come on, get over it"....She is obviously a drama queen and i don't blame all of her friends for feeling burned out! We all have shit going on in our lives and we can only do so much.... Oh yea, and the credit card thing....is she fucking delusional?? Does she not know that you still have to pay that money back w/ interest?? ALSO - for all you fucking IDIOTS of supposed 'fathers' who just dont give two flying fucks about your kids ... why?! answer me! how the hell can you live with yourself? do you have any compassion? bastards ... I know of many mothers that if they would have given up their kid for adoption, they would have done that child a favor. My mom left my dad for my dad's boss! The fucking slut took off and left me at 2years old and my sis at 6months...never looked back. Now after getting to know who she really is, she did us and my father a favor. Very mentally unstable alcholoic not to mention a cheating whore, which she is still married to the man she left my dad for, so he is getting what he deserves. I guess my point is, i see what you are saying about cheating. If you are thinking about cheating, just break up w/ the person you are with and go fuck who you want to fuck, why hurt people, and break up families? Yes, my mother left, but that was after her ass got busted by my dad and the other man's wife!

I quit a few years ago also..cold turkey and i found it easy. A year ago i started back up and this time i smoke more now than i did before. I am afraid it is going to be extremely difficult to quit. I would love to, my fiance HATES the smell of smoke and it is getting colder out, he won't let me smoke in the car and i don't like smoking outside when it is cold. Maybe that is a good time to cut back!

The woman that gave birth to me was pretty much the same. Hated kids, babies. She left my sis and I when i was 2 and my sis was about 6 months. Pretty much the best thing that happened to my sis and I. I never had any broken bones or anything. Anyway, I tried reaching out to her about 6 years ago, thought she would love to meet her grandson and see what a great job my dad, who is in a wheelchair, raising us as a single father. And possibly get some sort of closure. For some reason, that shit stayed with me for years! Things went OK for a while, cuz i never asked any questions about the past, in the beginning. The minute questions were being asked, she bolted. Again...well, i pretty much expected that one. She never said sorry, cuz then she would have to admit she did something wrong... I may be rambling, but my point is, letting go of all the anger for that person is the best thing you can do. A friend of mine said after the woman that gave birth to me bolted, "he who angers you, controls you". That is very true, yet hard to accept. I couldn't imagine what your husband endured as a child and his father didn't do him the favor of leaving... I hate to hear of stories about ANY child being abused, it takes so much innocents...I hope all works out for you.

Raise the money for the long term counseling these children are going to have to go to through adulthood. Not to mention the couples counseling due to trust issues after they are in a relationship. What they should be raising money for is castration for all priests who molest...there is a donation i will support.

ANYWAY...getting back to the subject... I am curious to see how many people agree with the metal detectors in school...I do, and honestly, I have no problems with uniforms.

In my opinion kids don't get the ass whoopings that they need. Agreed! The counseling session would start after the ass whooping! I am so strict, before my kid goes to someones house, i ask, do you have any guns? Do your children know safety? It just reminds some people that "there is another kid in the house and maybe i should double check my guns so my kid doesn't decide to play show and tell with them". I personally don't have any around my house, I have a step son that is with us every other weekend and he is only 3 and WAY to curious! I was lucky with my son, we didn't have that problem.

My dad is a gun dealer and my sister and I have always been around firearms of all kinds. Always known how to use them if we had to...dad ran a lot of gun shows on weekends and we stayed home alone. My son is 9 closer to 10, he is learning how to not only use them, but respect them. I think that is where a lot of parents go wrong, they are not teaching the kids how to respect and sometimes have a little fear of the firearm. If i was tipped off to my son being "fascinated" with the columbine massacre, his ass would be at a counseling session so fast. My whole family would make sure he wouldn't have access to ANY firearms. Parents just cannot get away with turning a blind eye anymore! We can't just think the kids are going through a fase and they will grow out of it, especially when their fase involves violent behavior!
