Yeah, I agree with that, I see it as a parent/child relationship in Numb. It could just be personal experience adding to it (which I think it is with a lot of LP lyrics) but this is just like my relationship with my parents, never doing the right thing in their eyes, they want you to do what they think you should do, not what you want to do... I don't know if it's deliberate, but I think there are a lot of ways you can take LP lyrics, it depends on your own life experience, and I really like that - you can make up your own mind about what a song means, not have it handed to you on a plate.
