  1. it's one thing to screw your own life up-then you're the one to blame for your downfall. but dammit why drag kids into it? i don't understand how people do it, eventually there's got to be a time when you're not tripping and you realise what it's doing. argh!
  2. (LOTS OF EFFORT-hopefully as thats only three words you'll carry on reading but heck if you dont...meh anyway if you didn't get past the 1st 4 words how would you know what effort i put in and besides which they included "if you think" surely if im accusing you of something you'd want to know what, or maybe you're not that way inclined. by the way which film?
  3. eddo... if you think im complaining on this one you should have a look at my valentines thread this one just got me started
  4. sorry if this is an existant thread i find it difficult to believe no-one's complained about it as yet. Off Topic Forum in short, Valentines day does it really pisses me of every single thing about it. firstly the pressure, i dont feel it personally but (especially going to an all girls school) that's all they talk about it for a good two weeks prior making sure they have a boyfriend for it. which is another aspect that bugs me why, why do you nedd a boyfirend? largely its for show, which is another reason, its so pretentious and superficial all the red crap the helium love heart shaped baloons the 12 roses from tesco for like 50p. another reason it pisses me off is that it makes the stupidity of the general public painfully apparent. it's a complete scam so thorntons will sell more chocolate, clintons more cards, and la senza more lingerie. laslty why do people need a special day to tell them to be romantic what's wrong with the rest of the year. (lastly +1) then when you say all this you get told you're bitter because youre single or your bf/gf hasn't made the same effort that maybe there's did which is another reason you're supposedly bitter. eugh! please someone agree with me, even if you don't just pretend that's all i ask. lol
  5. what a great thrread im really in the mood for describing how much i hate people (in particular the person who put me in my current mood) right firstly mr x because he doesn't know he put me in a bad mood and worst still it's not really his fault, next i hate my friends or else i wouldn't have gone into town today, i hate everyone who celebrates valentines day i hate anyone who contributes to it, including people in factories for making the crap, people selling it, people buying it everyone. lets see who else, eugh just everyone.
  6. i know you've quoted it but where the hell from? i never or at least would never use that phrase
  7. i'm the oldest of three and while they can be damn irritating, what's worse is constantly being reminded that "when there are three children the youngest is alwasy the funniest because they feel they have to work the hardest for the attention" firstly that is soo not true i'm the oldest and easily the funniest and the youngest of us knows she doesn't have to work at all for attention all she has to do is let her bottom lip tremble. "the middle child always turns out the best because they don't have the pressure of being the oldest to set the standards but have a healthy desire to work hard and so do the best" hello i'm not even 20 and while i know it wasn't directed at me specifically i reckon it was a quick reminder to keep working. jeez.
  8. hello george bush got into power after initiating an illegal war not that he cared, "You know, when I campaigned here in 2000, I said, I want to be a war President. No President wants to be a war President, but I am one." --George W. Bush, Des Moines, Iowa, Oct. 26, 2006. let's face it U.S isn't the ideal example of a democracy "I'm the decider, and I decide what is best." --George W. Bush, Washington, D.C. April 18, 2006. he is also preventing research into stem cells which could better so many peoples lives then there's all the people living in fear because of the action taken in Iraq and is generally messing with people's lives but then that is one of his aims, "Our enemies are innovative and resourceful, and so are we. They never stop thinking about new ways to harm our country and our people, and neither do we."
  9. wow that was touchy! but sorry i'll try not to hit any raw nerves in this post. firstly the word phobia isn't exclusively assosciated with mental illness; look at anything from arachnophobia to xenophobia, i think a better terminology would have beeen 'mental block'. i wasn't saying to critise someone who's gay makes you mentally ill but you're chatting bob (hope you like that phrasing) if you'e critisizinng them because they're gay. i have no idea where you got the idea that i think they're above criticism you're right they're not. why? because they're humans just like you and i. one other point that's not really of any relevance, save answering back, is that no i'm not one of those sleazy people who throw the word racism around. i'm more than capable of defing the difference between someone questioning/stating something and someone else just relinquishing their prejudice. p.s i have no problem with anyone thinking what they like and for the most part the majority can say what they were thinking without me feeling a great sense of disdain.
  10. what crap are you on about? you've taken an interesting enough thread and ruined it, i mean i know its titled speak your mind but, well, must you? so im going back to the original thread-the word homophobia. i think -phobia was used because most are scared of what they don't understand but have to face. which is, as far as im concerned what causes homophobia, a lack of knowledge and/or ignorance.
