  1. It's real. I've got several 'digital clone' CDs like that one (just not for QWERTY). Saw the auction on eBay but decided against bidding, mostly because I'm collecting less these days.
  2. There's now a full DVD iso out on at least one torrent site, should be making the rounds on other trackers soon after.
  3. I am? Oh, I am. Gotta agree with azem on this one, the samples you're using seem a bit forced, especially since they don't match the original recording. This is magnified by the fact that the vocals are left out there naked - Not much you can really do in this department unless you can convince Shinoda himself to lay down new tracks, find Mark Wakefield and make them sound like they did 10 years ago. I've never quite been a fan of remastering or editing such as this, but I can see the time and effort put into such projects...
  4. I fully understand that. Everyone would be going absolutely apeshit if this thing sounded like the other demos but it doesn't and we had no control over what it sounds like. I would not change a single thing as to how myself and the 4 sites handled all of this. LPA alone has had 73GB of data downloaded from their server in the last 12.25 hours, so I think we did something right.
  5. k. Let me know when someone finds a track that's not been heard for almost 8 years and we'll keep it under wraps next time.
  6. Removed the pics, for obvious reasons... If anyone needs further proof, PM me.
  7. That's where being a collector comes in handy. As soon as he posted the pic in his auction, I was able to compare it to other internal CDs. A quick google search yielded the info about David Kahne having worked at WB as a producer and in A&R. Finally, the seller himself provided a reasonable story as to how he obtained it and why he was listing/selling it. Yeah, it's still a crap shoot, but the odds of it being real were much better than they were of it being a fake.
  8. So the CD I was holding, placed in my PC, ripped and produced the flac and mp3 files from wasn't solid enough? Guess my word isn't good around here and I'm not as famous as I was told I was... lol
  9. Just to clarify a couple of things - David Kahne's name appears no where on the credits for the finalized track for Hybrid Theory. He simply told us that he knew the band's manager and might have done him a favor by working on it. Do you remember specific things you may have done 8 years ago? Me neither. Just to confirm, here's a scan of the insert of the 9 track Demos CD: And here's the insert from the Plaster CD: So can we put to rest the questions of it being official? **EDIT** Removed pics for 'security' purposes. No one wants to see any fakes on eBay...
  10. We know absolutely nothing about mixes 2 through 4 and the seller was essentially unhelpful as to what he may or may not have. The only info that was given was that he had 40,000+ CDs in storage and was selling them off in small groups.
  11. Dunno if I should be flattered or horrified. But, yes. I'm right in the middle of it all.
  12. I've got the DVD somewhere... I'll see what I can do about providing a video rip.
  13. *coughbullshitcough* Been telling you for weeks to get on it.
  14. Along with HT, Reanimation and Meteora, there are plently of promo vinyls to choose from, as well as the OSC 10 inch single (w/My December on the B Side) and the 7 inch picture discs for SiB and Faint. There are several for Fort Minor and for things such as It's Goin' Down too.
