  1. thats so gross...... I wonder how Chester would feel if he read that :o
  2. There are two points here: one, the guy in the second verse certainly appears to be suffering from a drug addiction...... "An addict he can't hold the reins the pain is worse cause his friends have it the same" true I guess it could be something else like cutting but it seems like they were meaning a drug addiction..... but its not a drug song as such cos the girl in the first verse seems to have some other problem...... still it doesn't really explain who is actually speaking in the chorus, or what the hell they're saying......
  3. hmmmm.... as much as Numb/Encore was a good song, their best song? No way. The original Numb was way better. And In the End should have been higher. There was a big top 1000 on one of the local Aussie radio stations last year and Somewhere I Belong got No.8, In the End no.23, Numb no.54 and From the Inside no.79.... I seem to remember Breaking the Habit was only in the 300s somewhere. As usual AC/DC got no.1
  4. yeah as if the indonesians hadn't suffered enough I can't begin to imagine what that would be like having more death like that....... yeah a lot of respect from me too for Linkin Park, not only did they contribute a lot of money, they didn't make a big deal about it, trying to get everybody to see how generous they were or anything...... they just went about their job and raised the money...... 100% thumbs up from me there
  5. yeah they could have done a mad remix..... shame it was only 7 seconds I'd love to get the video of that but it wouldn't play on my computer anyway so I guess thats the way it goes
  6. hmmm.... I'm not so sure that the guy and girl are nessecarily bf/gf although its possible...... I thought it was just two random people picked out who are struggling with problems. I wouldn't really say its a song about drug addictions, it's clear that the guy has some kind of addiction, but I think its used in a broader sense to show people with no direction in their lives or something. Hey but keep the suggestions coming, I'm always open-minded
  7. Hey, just listened to the 2nd version of Carousel.... way better than the HT EP version....... oh well I couldn't help but wonder what the song is about? I thought at first it was like a christian song (you know, I never know why you run so far away from me) then I thought maybe the 'I' in the chorus is like both the girl in the first bit and the guy in the second bit, both wondering why nobody wanted to be around them...... lol two very different possibilities, both seem a bit strange though, I wonder what others' opinions are?
  8. Just checked out the Allmusic Guide reviews of the Linkin Park albums, they obviously don't like them very much! www.allmusic.com Review of Hybrid Theory (in short): very tired idea, just the same thing as Limp Bizkit and Korn..... Review of Reanimation: quite good but just them trying to make more money and save time while they work on their next album Review of Meteora: Exactly the same as Hybrid Theory, showing they don't have any new ideas Review of Live in Texas: Very flat, generic performance that is too toned down and lifeless Review of Collision Course: Pretty good, and at least this reviewer praises LP's creativity, while saying the whole Mash-up thing has been done to death What's more amazing is that these 5 albums are reviewed by 5 different people...... I would have thought they could have maybe gotten in someone who had something nice to say about Linkin Park, they didn't have to write all praise but maybe give some deserved credit........
  9. omg bad typo :o but yeah I'll buy his CD as soon as its released....
  10. It was a great song...... worthy of being on a LP album - well almost...
  11. I think the reanimated one was actually remixed by somebody else, and just has Kelli ali singing on it with Chester...... I've forgotten though. Yeah I heard the Josh Groban version of My December just last week, it's alright in its own way, possibly on par with the reanimation version, but neither could ever top the original..... It was funny cos my Mum's a big fan of Josh Groban and My December is the only LP song she likes so that's pretty funny.... also the fact that Josh likes Linkin Park is quite wierd...
  12. I don't know how many people are aware of these, but I bought a set of 4 CDs over Ebay a while ago which had (among other things) almost every song from hybrid theory with different lyrics.... I don't think there fakes or anything, as it is clearly Linkin Park, I'm just interested to know why they would have been produced..... by the way they are great songs, especially In the End and Forgotten, which uses some lyrics from the Reanimated version and the original
  13. so what? All he's saying is he listened to heavy music to get into the mood for killing people...... that's hardly Linkin Park's fault.... by the way, interesting to see this guy thinks of himself as some social commentator or something..... it's like, dude, you killed people. Shut up. although I think it's a bit different with say, Slipknot and stuff, I mean if they ARE actually trying to influence people to do wierd stuff that's not good.....
  14. lol P.O.D. I would pay more than good money to see either one in concert, let alone together, like in I think the Meteora World tour? I hope they both come to Australia some time.
