  1. Many people are followers, especially when it comes to music and fashion trends. If people start getting the impression that a band is looked down upon, then they say that they don't like that band just to fit in (even if they really like the band). If they see certain bands that seem cool to listen to (Bob Marley, Red Hot Chili Peppers, and Sublime for example), then they say they listen to those bands to fit in. People try to mold to what they think will make them look cool. Seems like this kind of thing is going on with many of you who hear a lot of ppl talking trash about LP. If it makes you feel any better, I haven't met anyone who hates LP around my area... In fact, in the past couple weeks, I've heard them blasting in 3 different cars at my college. I hear it all over the place, and everyone I talk to around here loves em. You should move to southern california. =] What it boils down to is caring what other people think. If you like certain bands, thats Awesome... listen to it. Most people just try to follow the trends to fit in.. and to many people LP seems like its old hat/outdated. Don't give in to the trends, listen to what you like and try not to worry about what others think about it. There are plenty of people out there who think LP is just as cool as you do.
  2. I downloaded it sniper... thanks for sharing that man. That was tight hearing "DONT STAY" in the background as the main character chops enemies into pieces and throws them into oblivion. =] Good job
  3. Or would anyone else Really like to see a "Don't Stay" music video? It is SUCH a great song and I think it more than qualifies for its own video and air play. Is anyone else surprised that such an awesome song is not getting any recognition?
  4. Well, he actually didn't BLAME LP by saying they made him kill. He talked about how he was very emotional, and how if he listened to a sad song he was sad... or if he listened to an angry song he became angry. A lot of LP songs are also emotional and some have angry lyrics, heavy guitars, and screaming. Aparently for this wacko, the angry LP song would set him off combined by "demons" telling him to put prostitutes out of their misery. But he even says "I don't mean to blame rock and roll or video games" ... so LP was not blamed flat out.
  5. Awesome, Thanks Shalonda! I don't have cable so it was really cool to be able to watch that. Man, Chester was cracking me up... "Heres a couple early photo shoots of the band... We were all trying to look really cool... but unfortunetly we didn't succeed" "This is where I scratch my balls in the morning" Then someone else (I think it was Joe) said something like "A year from now we probably won't be around so we'll see you at the Hollywood music" haha.. good stuff.
  6. lol, I actually had a dream about them a couple weeks ago. I dreamt that I was chillin with the band and was really good friends with them. We started talking about how it would be so cool if we all pitched in and bought a huge mansion together to live in. So there I was, living in a mansion with Linkin Park as my room mates! haha... then I was in my new room and heard some music coming from another room down the hall. I went down to see what was going on, and LP had turned one of the rooms into a recording studio and we're recording their new cd in there. Much to my surprise, Brad asked me to go grab my guitar and help them record some riffs... after recording for a little while we decided to go dirt jumping on our BMX bikes, but Chester didnt have a bike. After riding around with the other members for awhile, Chester shows up on a bike. I asked him where he got it and he said "Well, I saw it sitting out front of someones house... so I figured why not? I'll just borrow it for a bit." .. All of us were like "Dude, you just jacked some guys bike from out front of his house??" ... Chester didn't really seem like it was too big of a deal so we just kept riding. lol ... Needless to say, I was super bumbed when I woke up.
  7. pushingmeaway14: Correct me if I'm wrong here, but he was probably in and out of bands when he was younger and at some point had a job at a coffee shop. Eventually he went on to Grey Daze, and then tried out to get into the band Linkin Park (which wasn't actually called Linkin Park yet). The current Linkin Park members took Chester over the other singers cuz he is the freakin pimp and the rest is history.
  8. Ya, I thought so. If you look up any website that has facts about Chester most of them meantion that he used to be a coffee barista. Unless all those sites are getting their information from some false rumours, which isn't very likely. He probably worked for some smaller coffee shop in Arizona at some point. Hopefully it wasnt for the evil empire (aka Starbucks.)
  9. Tough decision but I think I'd have to go with the Points of Authority riff that plays during the verse.
  10. I read somewhere that Chester Bennington used to be a Coffee Barista before he went big with LP. I'm currently a Barista and am just curious if anyone knows what coffee house he used to work at? I know its a tough question but just thought I'd ask. Thanks
  11. Ya, Forgotten is a great one that is underexposed... but I think I would have to go with "Don't Stay" on this one. I think that song is so awesome and more than radio quality. If another song from Meteora is going to make it on the radio, my prediction would be Don't Stay. (or possibly From The Inside)
