Who is this guy anyway? He said the album is a stinker, and yet, according to the same site, LP's new album is #1 on the NZ charts. So much for a sinker, huh? He's of course entitled to his own opinion, but the least he could do was be proffessional about it. Using words like, "arse," is hardly professional, so these seems like a really weak ass site that have people on the writing staff who can hardly be called, "writers." http://stuff.co.nz/4071532a4500.html ^There is the evidence that LP's MTM is a real "stinker."

I was pissed ABC didn't show the entire song of Bleed it Out. They showed most of it, but not the entire thing.

If you're an audiophile and can't stand the smallest amount of static (drives me crazy), then recording it through your sound card just is not as optimal as converting it. The extra little time and effort is definitely worth it, and you'd be a fool to disagree. If I actually pre-ordered it off of iTunes, then I would convert it for you guys, but like many others here, I don't buy off of iTunes. P.S. Don't preach to me about computer hardware. I'm well aware that your sound card will determine the quality, but it's still won't compete with converting it straight from the source (in this case, about as close as you can get).

For those of you who don't know how to "break" Apple's DRM: http://askbobrankin.com/convert_itunes_to_mp3_format.html It lists two ways, have your pick. And don't "record" the track using Audacity or some other program, the output is crap.

So, there will be no CD that comes with it?

It's definitely talking about Hurricane Katrina. But it is not talking about the President, but rather the nation in general. I don't think I can agree with their perspective that the nation did nothing. It's sad that it happened, but after the Hurricane, there were a lot of efforts done to help get people back on their feet. I for one went to Mississippi to assist, and there were a lot of fundraising efforts and a lot of communities taking in displaced people from the area and providing jobs and such.

I've been trying to figure it out as well. It would seem rather out of place if it was about Hurricane Katrina.

That's an interesting view. I"m actually listening to it again to see where you're drawing the conclusions (especially Bush). I think the first part of the song is really questioning the decision to go to war. The second part of the song puts the war into a different perspective. Instead of from the view of the citizen, I think it's from the view of the soldiers and focusing on their hardship. I think the line, "When the rich wage war it's the poor that suffer" basically sums up the song. I think he is doubting the President's ability, especially when he says at the end, "both scared and angry like what did he say." I, however, do support the war, but I think it's a great song, as it does put the perspective of the soldier into view. But that's just my opinion. Also, No More Sorrow is political as well and The Little Things Give You Away is about Hurricane Katrina (or I suspect it anyway), but I wouldn't really classify it as political.

Will the special edition come out the same time as the regular album? If so, how much will it cost? I'm hoping no more then 45 dollars, 50 max.
