  1. That could be debated if they didn't come out with their debut "Pablo Honey".
  2. You guys are really clever and thorough. Glad you have so much to add. Keep on blah, blah, blahing most consistant blahers.
  3. You forgot to mention members of Do Make Say Think. Anyhow, "You Forgot It In People" is the much better album. I can't stand some of the production choices of this self-titled album. The dip in audio for 7/4 Shoreline is unbearably bad as well as the chorus for Fire Eye'd Boy among many other detractors. The producer (member of BSS) went overboard and crammed too many instruments/tracks into each little crevice of the songs. He had no discretion at all this time around. Alot of moments are awash and messy to the point where certain instruments became barely audible because the instruments were fighting each other's bandwidth (aka too many of the same frequencies from different instruments occupying the same space).
  4. Dude there is not much to compare here other than the fact both bands took a more layed back approach this time around. In Rainbows is much more refined and coming from a highly prestigious band. Don't feel bad because there aren't many bands in history that have anything on Radiohead's back catalogue. This probably will only be my 4th favourite Radiohead album because I still feel it's way behind Kid A, OK Computer, and The Bends in creativity, rocking out moments, and experimentation. With that said, In Rainbows>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>MTM. I probably need alot more of these >>>>
  5. I'm pretty sure you know you want Stenners to stay clear of reviewing Cartel. LMAO.
  6. Nude used to be really really good 7 or so years ago live. I have to say the synth strings that come in the middle of the song are ace though. Reckoner seems to also have a complete facelift from the live version of 7 or so years ago as well. It used to be a headbanging rocker from what I recall. All in all, this album is not what I expected. I either was hoping for more experimentation or more rocking or a mixture of both. But there really isn't much of either. Not saying this is a bad album either, but I'm certain this is no match compared to Kid A or OK Computer or even The Bends. It's right on par with Amnesiac and better than HTTT and their debut Pablo Honey (anything is better than Pablo Honey). I'm not so keen on Nigel's production this time around either. Bodysnatchers rocks, but I think the distortion sounds pretty bad. Will give more listens. I'm enjoying it to a degree. Other notes: 15 Steps could've been so much better. Arguably their worst opener. Still it's decent. Videotape also changed pretty dramatically. From what I recall it was much heavier.
  7. This will kill Kanye West's new album. I promise.
  8. Underline bold text I agree with. However, remember we have a right to express our thoughts just the same as anybody else. We're just usually on the other side of the fence and usually coming across a bit stronger and with reasons to backup our thoughts. It is a discussion board. And it's just something that sensitive surfers gotta deal with.
  9. I didn't mean that in an all encompassing way.
  10. Yeah........I don't need to add anything more than what has already been said. It's not like one can't help but notice all these publications and websites ripping on this band. We all have a general disgust of A&A for many reasons that have already been discussed and written about. But again, many people like them. That's society for ya. That's business marketing for ya. That's media brainwashing for ya. That's payola for ya. That's blah blah blah, etc.
  11. Well that's fine. Those were some examples Jeezy asked for. It wasn't a claim of who is better. Like what you like. You are in the same boat with millions of others that are exposed daily to him. As a "business man", Kayne is raking it in. And based on that, he is very successful.
  12. Basically a terrible band. If that's your favourite album of '06, then I pity you.
  13. Point is, Kanye is not the musical genius you make him out to be. He needs the help.
  14. Stuff from: Aphex Twin Squarepusher M83 Caribou Brian Eno Andrew Bird Devendra Banhart Dungen Panda Bear Iron & Wine The Microphones Sunset Rubdown To name a few off the top of my head. Of course they have albums where others contribute a bit as well. Especially on later efforts.
