  1. Heresy! lol, finally In Pieces gets some more lovin.
  2. I really do now want to change my vote from What I've Done to Leave Out All The Rest.... What can I say, it grew on me. It grew a whole garden...a national park...okay, time for bed Blade.
  3. Thing is, they still have a huge audience. It's just a totally different audience. Which I guess is what they were going for, it just kinda sucks to kinda...leave the fans that they built up over two extraordinary CDs nearly 100% filled with good songs and then something in a direction that hardcore fans really don't like. But either way, I know my cousin, for example, likes this CD the most, but he's never really liked Linkin Park. He said they get too hard and he hates rap. I mean, that's disgusting how they can just go to a fanbase that's always criticized them. Meh, they'll do alright, I just won't buy their stuff.
  4. I would never say "(Insert rock band name here) forever" because I'll be a fan if they are good. It's not shallow. The fact is, if they think they can just put out anything and get people buying their stuff. To keep fans, you need to stay good and appealing. So I went with the middle option.
  5.   Shinoda, did Chester really say that? lol that's great. The fact that they can joke around about it makes it a little less annoying. Gotta love these guys.
  6. I'm so glad they do that No-Smoking. If you want to smoke, do it on your own time. I'm not against people smoking when they kill themselves, but when they start killing other people...like me...I get a little more irritated. At a concert-like thing with tons of smokers, one of my friends got so sick it was almost as bad as pneumonia, in bed for days, hacking up constantly. So smart move LP.
  7. If they really wanted to do that, they would make a Special Edition or something with say, 6 more songs, since they apparently recorded so many or at least wrote so many, there should be a few more they could add, and then I bet they could get the sales they wanted. The new tracks could be sort of like a change-up with a little more creative styles, mixing, rapping maybe even with a featured artist, things like that to ensure that the additions would be really interesting and a good buy. It would allow them to have a different style than the focus of their CD and get away with it, as they are bonus tracks. I'm sure they don't plan to do that, but it would help sales. I don't think they can get to Meteora with just this CD.
  8. Nah, I think most people think (or at least "thought") of LP as Chester and Mike together, and Chester has always been at least a little more prominent with solos and what-not. But either way, I thought that the guitar got PLENTY of airplay in their old style. Solos or not, I'd say the guitar made up half of the music, Hahn didn't. He just added that special unique touch that nobody else had. Are they trying to say it's a thing of the past? That just unsettles me a bit.
  9. lol I wouldn't mind selling it to them, or even just giving it to em, although it's not like they would take it anymore anyway.
  10. Just wondering if anyone does this too. Call it strange, but sometimes, rarely, but on occasion, when my mind is blank, I'll just start making up a LP song in my head, the guitar riffs, the lyrics, the music, the beat, and everything and just start putting something together that I like a lot. Would be nice if I was actually able to make the music to see what other people thought of it, and usually it'll be a more Nu-Metal sound, based off of what I guess I was hoping to see on this album, but that's beside the point. Anyone else ever do this?
  11. lol I wish it was too fort minor. Fort Minor's beats destroyed Hands Held High. He needs to stick with them. Yeah, In Between. Shadow of the Day bores me too, I can't listen to it, but it still hits a hard part somewhere...after like 4 minutes.
  12. That woman's laugh is horrendously annoying in full speed. Slowed down, it was just funny. But they probably didn't say anything because they didn't want to encourage it. They are married men...hahaha But I guess songs from the new album have that effect on women.
  13. With the 6 or more songs, it would almost seem like they would have to switch guitars, since the old ones are reaaaally powerful and most of the new ones, even the harder ones, it's a different, more tamed sound. But they must change the amplifier or something (not like I know anything about guitars lol)
  14. Appreciate it. Sometimes, the truth hurts. The fact that it didn't fit the "style" of the CD makes me even more...unhappy. Maybe if they didn't mute his scratches it would've. He might as well throw the turntable away if they're going to change their entire band like that. *takes 3 deep breaths and walks away*
  15. Yeah, sad thing is, real recently I saw a review from a fairly retarded-seeming guy who reviewed the CD and said that he really didn't like it, but the one plus was that "the band have dropped most of their unpopular elements such as the turntablism of Joe Hahn and Mike Shinoda's MC-ing". So that made me mad, and think about it. It made me wonder if Linkin Park really is trying to conform, because I know there were quite a few people against all the rap in LP, and Mike does that MUCH less. And if that's the case...I'd be mad.
