  1. When I say "Obama should keep his mouth shut", I mean, that his mouth has opined one too many times to embarrass America. The dictatorships all around the world already know that Obama is weak, that he is a compromiser, that he begs pardon for our previous indulgences. Obama's opinion is no more poignant than Stalin or Mussolini to the Free World. America, whether you believe one way or the other, does not treat with dictators.
  2. Funniest thing TJ has ever said...
  3. Just an odd lopsided opinion here with little to no merit: I can't speak for Russia, but I think China might be taking their position since the U.S. is already in the area. Pitting America in between a rock and a hard place as China's human shield. If American military might fails in the region, you might hear of China openly declaring themselves. Until then, our credit might still be good with the Chinese. The Community Organizer in Chief should keep his big mouth shut. Then again, telling other people how to live is the core ethics lesson in Community Organizing 101. As much as I believe in the scaling back of our forces all over the world, why can't we just shoot this Iranian dictator in the head? One bullet, clean and clear shot, and then shoot the next dictators until there is someone who can keep the peace. Approaching dictators with diplomacy only infuriates them and they lash out like spoiled little brats.
  4. Dammit, TJ. Thanks... NOW I CAN'T GET IT OUT OF MY HEAD! I join these fellers in their angst.
  5. I never gave up thinking that God would smite McCain, Palin, Obama, and Biden in the head with furious bolts of lightning, so that the real conservatives could have a chance to turn the tide. All I was saying is that, if you are going to talk about conservative values, conservative politics, etc; quoting FDR is not the greatest way to go. Americans need to see past the myths and legends of FDR in order to make better voting decisions.
  6. The centrists are responsible for the current mess that we are in: Obamacare and the whole lot of them. The centrists, either those in the Republican or Democratic Party, have decided every election that I can remember. It is the centrists, not the independents, who represent the undecided swing vote. Any columnist, talking head, or writer who says that its the "independents" who elected Obama, they are confused. Your 25-45% socialists easily fall in with the centrists... no matter if there is an R or a D next to their name. There should be no such animal as a centrist position in America, as there is not a middle of the road between capitalism and socialism. A centrist might vote for one or the other, but it is that doubt of who they really are and what they believe that troubles me. Over time, centrism will leave us only with the right to vote and then bellyache about who they voted for. I believe that the centrist mediocrity represent most views of Americans: middle-of-the-road, unconcerned about government, or just believe in luke-warm conservativeness with a liberal sprinkling of statist complacency. These centrists believe that there is only one choice to make between the two parties. Any other candidate is part of the "lunatic fringe" that contain your extremists and radicals. And these centrists make a decision on who seems to be the "lesser evil" or the one that lines up, lockstep with both ruling parties more centrist representatives. That said, I have always voted independently and will continue to vote that way. God gave me the ability to exercise free will, I am blessed to have a free mind, and I don't march lockstep with the centrists. That doesn't surprise me. I do things everyday to piss off people.

  8. "Up! Up! And... ooops! Pooped myself!"
  9. For whatever reason, I have always thought of eddo as a robot.
  10. Ehh... I was being facetious in a way. You are all correct, though. Yet I believe gun control is not off the table. Once we are stripped of all of our rights: Obamacare in full swing, cap and tax passes, etc; they take away our right to defend ourselves. It would make kicking in your door, forcing you into submission, and escorting you to an internment camp for not paying taxes a lot easier. Immigration is indeed safer, but I don't think it serves the statists' interests by closing the border. Pass amnesty now... ten years from now when we are flooded again... pass amnesty again... create a stronger constituency with each passing year.
  11. You damn right.
  12. What has that got to do with voting for principle versus voting on party lines? You assume that everyone in politics is playing for different teams, but the left-right paradigm is the only thing transparent in Washington. They all play for the same team. The team serves their own interests and hinders growth rather than to heal the wrongs of previous despots. As far as Obamacare is concerned, the Republicans overwhelmingly voted against the bill. The luke-warm, centrist Republicans only voted against the bill because of the upcoming elections. Laws are no longer made by a rational process of public discussion; they are made by a process of blackmail and intimidation, and they are executed in the same manner. The typical lawmaker of today is a man wholly devoid of principle — a mere counter in a grotesque and knavish game. If the right pressure could be applied to him, he would be cheerfully in favor of polygamy, astrology or cannibalism. - H.L. Mencken If he became convinced tomorrow that coming out for cannibalism would get him the votes he needs so sorely, he would begin fattening a missionary in the White House yard come Wednesday. - H.L. Mencken referring to Franklin D. Roosevelt. FDR has the unique distinction of making a bad situation worse during his own presidency. By turning what should have been an ordinary fractional reserve banking recession into the worsened and prolonged Great Depression. And at the same time laying the foundation for the continuation of the bad situation through establishing the ever expanding Welfare State. That said, FDR's quote might pertain to the discussion. Yet... I wouldn't quote him if you are trying to argue the conservative vs. liberal paradigm.
  13. Silly IWS! Conservatives have an "R" next to their name! (sarcastic guffaw and knee slap)

  15. In my opinion, the progressive leftists' next target will be repealing the 2nd Amendment or making it damn near impossible to own a firearm. Well... it may not be next. It has to be on their agenda, though.
  16. I don't doubt that this could be a great move for the real "conservatives" out there (the Goldwaters and the Reagans). Socialism in this country needed to be exposed for the insane evil that it really is and voted to a minority at best. There is not a doubt in my mind that the GOP will gain control of Congress and the Senate. The nation will be watching and they better not screw it up again!
  17. I apologized for accidentally deleting your response. What more do you want? A kidney? Now can you try to stay on topic, TJ? -------------- At any rate...
  18. DIABLO is good, Ill have to inject that somewhere, sometime soon. Yet... potatoes... pah-tah-toes... they are all statists. The excuse machine has a prepared statement... I'm sure.
  19. Ok... well... maybe he did. I could care less. Enlighten me, TJ. Tell me what you deem a decent conservative. When a decent conservative rears his ugly head, I'll give him a nod and do some homework on him or her. Right now, as it stands, the best the "conservatives" can give us is John McCain. They've got a lot of work to do if they're going to get any respect back. As far as Palin is concerned; if communism is her game, then she is free to practice it in her state when she was governor. I don't want that system, but the state reserves the right to be as capitalist or as communist as the they want. If you don't like either system, move to a different state. And I will continue turning my back on this so-called conservative movement if they keep throwing John McCain types up to the forefront. Even if McCain had won the presidency, he'd have to deal with a leftist Senate and Congress. McCain would've been a lame duck by March of '09... if not sooner. Then what? Blame the lefties for penis-blocking McCain here and there? No... McCain would bend like a pine sapling against a rising storm. He is weak. He is not a conservative that reflects the values of the GOP of old. McCain is the epitome of RINO. You're a broken record. Your posts are all about shifting blame and making excuses. Blah blah blah goes the excuse machine. I don't remember you coming in to referee the Chi-bashing parties and call "foul" on the others. Why would you bring her up unless you are trying to divert attention off your gross inequities as a man? Then you insult her and then sort of take up for her here and then make her sound like her vote didn't matter towards the candidate she chose. That's kind of throwing a non-participant in this discussion under the bus. I don't think Chi would like to be a party to your whining, brat-like post. So just keep churning out them tired old excuses, TJ.
  20. You're a child, TJ. And if I talk to you in a repetitive, redundant, and pedantic manner; I am only imitating the standards you have set in this thread. You are the absolute epitome of the problems with the current "conservative" movement. In that, you have too much elasticity, too much give, too much compromise in your beliefs. If splintering effected the outcome of the 2008 election, then it was the fact that the conservatives splintered from G.Dubya's good buddies in the House and Senate. I didn't cause the rift by voting a certain way. You want to carry on voting for these neocons, RINOs, statists, and Marxists, that is your right and I fully expect you to exercise it. I have no intention of sticking together with any one party. I choose based on principles, because the smallest minority in the world is MYSELF. I will not vote party lines just to get an old RINO (Did you know that RINO means "Republican In Name Only"?)in office and I don't latch on, march lock-step with the status quo. And you have to have rocks in your head the size of Gibraltar if you believe that McCain had a chance against Obama's political machine. McCain ran a wimpish, almost apologetic campaign and for that he deserved to lose by the freakin' landslide that it was. Ohhh... the poor little politician... up there in DC getting wallowing in power and reveling in a bloated sense of self worth. Ohh... how my heart aches for them! -------- NAH! You can't be serious! You want me to feel sorry for a politician? I would if they were able to take the "barrel of their gun" off of me and point it at themselves. (Chew on that analogy to the police power of government.) In the meantime, if they don't want to be scrutinized by the likes of me? Then, they can go sell Che Guevara t-shirts along the interstate. If the son-of-a-bitches can't take the heat, then get the hell out of the kitchen. I never criticize the person handling my food, but I will forever dog those who handle my money. You're joking? Have you not read anything that I have replied to you? I will not bend my principles so that they align with some quasi-commie statist RINO. And I sure as hell wouldn't encourage someone else to vote that way, either.
  21. Hugo never mentioned who he voted for, but you assume that since he disagrees with you. I did, however, mention who I voted for. And I would've voted against Jesus H. Christ if his running mate were Sarah Palin. McCain plus Palin equals about a 95% (give or take 2-3 percentage points) socialist that's too much of a cross to bear, let alone in factions unto themselves. At last update, Ron Paul is still a member of the Republican party. If he switches, you'll be the first to let me know; I'm suspicious.
  22. Election Center 2008 - Georgia Election Center 2008 - Florida The difference between Obama and McCain voters in Georgia is 204,636. The difference between Obama and McCain voters in Florida is 236,450. He's a black cultural hero like Robert Downey, JR.
  23. Though I grasp the point that you're driving at, to a scholarly degree, I think it is simply a matter of principles. McCain is a "conservative", or claims to be, but he is also (as you have said over and over) a 25% socialist, the lesser evil. That is too much to waste my voice on. I can not, in good faith, place my vote for a man who has about two more points of principle than G. Dubya. And mumber two... get this through your head... Ron Paul IS not an independent. He is a member of the Republican National Party, one of the two major parties in the land. Did you know that, TJ? Did you know that the GOP are Republicans, TJ? I voted for a Republican. Get over yourself. You say that independents indirectly put Obama in the big seat like you've found the freakin' Holy Grail of excuses. "Oh my God!" and "Eureka!" I can hear it all now. Yet you fail to see that, if McCain were a better choice, a better speaker, a stronger "conservative", and not a RINO; perhaps your boy would be sitting in the White House now. That is not how it ended up, because people will always vote how Hollywood and others tell them to vote. A vote for Obama, came from those who voted for him. Likewise for McCain. You're just a tired old broken down excuse machine that sounds like Obama when he talks about "inherited problems". You vote how you want to vote, TJ. That is your right, but don't look down the nose or blame me for all of the country's woes. My state carried McCain, by the way, perhaps you should campaign for the next RINO now to get Florida's support. I am waiting for your next excuse....
  24. I came to that conclusion too late, but a whole lot better than NEVER!
  25. At last check, Ron Paul IS a Republican. If you mean side with someone who has a better chance of winning, then you must've voted for Obama along with the rest of your state. McCain carried Georgia, but I wasn't dumb enough to waste my vote on a RINO who is a 25% socialist.
