1. Did you get banned? No. As soon as I was promoted, did I ban you? No. If I wanted you to go away, you would have been gone at 4:35 EST when I signed in. So........ just don't break the rules and everything will be a-ok. The past is the past as far as I am concerned. Time to move on or will you continue to be times's joke? That said, I was a moderator on the old GF site for about two or so years. I have seen a hell-of-a-lot worse than you could ever hope to be. Again... bygones are bygones.
2. I don't have to like you, TJ, but I am will to move on for the sake of our fellow members. If you saw messages where I have made comments calling for your banishment, I, wholeheartedly take that back. As I am not one to be drunk with power, I'm no politician, but I will only move forward with the understanding that everything that happened before I was promoted stays in the PAST.
3. Thanks for the nod and bump, PW. --- To all... I am not interested in bullying people around, being the big sheriff, or throwing my authority around. I am more interested in forming long lasting friendships and getting to know each and every one of you a little better.
4. Immigrants heading to Washington to push reforms This looks like a perfect opportunity to round some of them up and send them back to their country.
5. Bottom line... this country is broke and cannot afford to continue with the current wars that we are involved or to lend European or Middle Eastern nations aid. We simply do not have the funds. Keep borrowing from the Chinese? Yeah... we could do that. When will the Chinese decide to collect on the debt that we already owe them? When that happens, we will be in a world of sh t. Again, we simply do not have the funds. ----------- So keep drinking that gray Kool-Aid. Enjoy your big government hacks that are one-quarter socialist and I will continue to vote based on principle. A vote for a 100% Constitution-defending, capitalism-loving, a product of American-exceptionalism, some one who believes in a balanced budget, the end of the central bank, someone who understands Austrian economics and condemns Keynesian economics, a person who will support backing the USD with gold and silver, someone to shrink and break the central government down to a manageable size... should never be confused or lumped into the same category as someone who votes for a 25% socialist. ---------- An answer to multiculturalism is to repeal every single entitlement program ever devised, but that won't happen until the well is run dry and the people are knocking on the Hill's door asking "Where's my sh t?". Meaning: we may look different and hallow a different deity, but we are of equal importance to this country. Everybody pulls their own weight. The answer to split and divided political parties will equal a better representation of the people rather than grayish shadows of ideals long lost fighting with the other party. The Republicans and Democrats won't let that happen, they are slaves to the Democracy, and ready to pander to get re-elected; because neither likes competition.
6. Final 'reform' push: twisting arms Democrats Lie, Bribe, Blackmail, and Extort For Healthcare Reform Walking on eggshells here. And trying to be as diplomatic as possible, because I don't want to incite some drawn out word-war that seems so prevalent nowadays. With the Louisiana Purchase, Gator Aid, the Cornhusker Kickback, among others making the news; what is your OPINION on the matter? Why do you think they accepted the bribe? Do you think that the bribes will sway enough support in favor of Obamacare?
7. Wait.... wait... WAIT! That Cloaked Anon guy has my hat!
8. Why is this "gray area" of our foreign policy so hard for you to see? The scaling back of our troops abroad will force countries, in which we have bases, to defend themselves. We are supposed to be engaged in a "war on terror", but our borders remain liquid. As to why there is little homeland defense, I don't know... thus creating a gray area of understanding. (Afterthought: Though "free trade" appears in the acronym for NAFTA, it had nothing to do with it and everything to do with merging to create a North American Union. I guess, in contrast with the European Union.) I don't claim to be an expert on American foreign relations, but I was over there with the 2nd Marine Division out of Camp Lejeune (Want my callsign, too?). We were in there and out of there, which is the kind of action that should take place. Not these prolonged, money-sapping engagements. Still, if we didn't have something to lose (oil trade), we would not have gotten ourselves involved. There is a lot of gray area in our reasons to support this regime, condemn that regime in the Middle East but I believe it all revolves around their oil. I am only capable of seeing what I deem a viable candidate because I vote on principles and I never, ever, ever compromise. You are voting in the gray area where there is a margin of error. That margin of error allows you to say things like, "Well, McCain was never a 100% conservative." or "I never fully agreed with McCain on that...". Whereas, I am voting on who I deem will defend our Constitution, uphold the values of our Founding Fathers, shrink the scope of government, and end the welfare state. You have no intention of voting for things that will result in a little discomfort or inconvenience your little world in some way. So continue voting the same old socialists, neo-cons, and the lesser evil; and I will continue to vote for liberty.
9. Tea Party Crashers
10. A post worthy of a socialist. You reply with an argument that I never made. I never said "end occupation here" "stop all oil import now" et.al. Just another cheap socialist tactic of diverting attention, changing the subject, and shifting blame. Your argument is constant in the socialist's repertoire. Conversing with you is exhaustive. Not because I believe you to be 100% spot-on accurate and I just want to pick a fight, but because your narrow-mind can not grasp concepts outside your little world. I mean, Jesus Christ, how long did it take you to grasp that a classic liberal wasn't Ted Kennedy? A year or two? - - - And now we're all obliged to read that 75% conservative vs. a 100% socialist. Just go on and let it out.
11. As we all know good and well, Obama is a liar. Plain and simple. Everything that comes out of his mouth is a lie. Obama assumes the stupidity of the people when he says, one of his favorite lines, "let me explain it more clearly". Yet.... he has had an entire year to explain it more clearly! He can't tell you what is in the Bill, because he doesn't know what it in the Bill. The strings that control Obama feed him talking points to harp on while Pelosi and Reid do the dirty work. All Obama does is campaign and smile for the camera. Despite my utter contempt for Pelosi and Reid, they will be humiliated themselves in November, Obama will be the one to take the fall from this disaster. A new Senate will force Obama to lean more centrist to forgo his dreams of a centrally planned economy. And yes, I agree, he'll be a lame duck. I wonder what the next invented crisis will be?
12. And the US helped to free France from Nazi occupation. Our debt to them has been repaid. I'm not your friend, Times. I graduated high school, I know who won and who lost WWII. World trade would not end with Ron Paul, but maybe foreign oil would. To that I say, "So long!", because we NEED to become energy independent from those fucking oil sheiks. Drill here, drill now. Free trade is one of the pillars of a capitalist society. We can trade freely with every nation on the map, but not until we have capitalism here first. As I don't believe in complete and sudden withdrawal from any of our bases worldwide, I do believe in a steady withdrawal and let the locals defend themselves. If they can't, "Oh well... we have given you support for X-amount of years. If you can't take care of yourself by now, let some other country prop you up." While isolating ourselves from the rest of the world sounds ugly and is meant to be detrimental, I can't see anything wrong with scaling back to heal the wrongs from within our country. Then, maybe, then we will be able to get involved in world affairs. Right now, we need to take care of ourselves and restore the Republic to what our Framers outlined. Ohh... and a 75% conservative is more likely to compromise with a 100% socialist. Hey... its easy to take shots at Obama. It's not too hard to do. You're an idiot if you believe that there are good guys and bad guys, black and white... it's all shades of gray. The two party system is a complete and utter failure, they are out of touch with the average American, and they will pander to whatever constituency to possibly get re-elected. The politician, even Ron Paul, might work to his/her own device, but it is the Constitution that should restrain their intent. More and more, the Constitution has become an obstacle to get around or over. Right now, despite his shortcomings, Ron Paul and a few like minded individuals are the only people I put any trust in at all.
13. Maybe Obama will explain the details of the bill, instead of just simply saying "it must pass". Hah! For Christ's Sake... the progressive democrats have had an entire year to explain the bill. If they can't tell you, then you definitely don't want it!
14. The fact is, I do know about Ron Paul's isolationist position and couldn't agree with him more. Yeah... call me liberal, call me elitist, but you can't refute the fact that we are broke, government is growing exponentially, and perhaps the only way out of this is to do the opposite of what has been done so far? Paying down our debts, securing our borders, auditing the Federal Reserve, etc should be considered before we slap another band-aid president into office. Which you did by voting for a 25% socialist. A 100% socialist, like Obama, can work with a McCain or Palin because one is a quarter of the other. Keep blathering on like a crazy person... you're just finding excuse after excuse to vote for the same old party lines.
15. While I agree with alliances, I don't agree with spilling our own blood and draining our economy to fortify a country that should be defending themselves. If the country is too week to defend itself... tough. I'd say that we can offer support if and only if all neighboring countries of like mind do not have the means to support. I'd like to know where in the Constitution does it say that we have to be an international big brother. The fact is, we have more enemies within the State than we do outside. One thing that we cannot get around, is the fact that we are broke and owe a shitload to the Chinese.
16. Last ditch efforts of a truly desperate man whose presidency will be defined by failing to pass this healthcare bill. At the very least, we know that Obama will be rendered impotent in November. Though I don't like the old "lesser evil" bullshit, I happen to like some of my local GOP boys. I wonder who will interview Obama... probably some lefty from the Network. In vain hopes, I would like it to be an economist opposed to the bill rather than a typicalcommentator.
17. Do you have any links to back up your argument? One of the many things that I agree with Dr. Paul is the fact that NATO, the UN, and other organizations just allow for the expotential growth of government. The one thing I fear is a governing world authority where countries like the United States, the United Kingdom, France, et al kick up taxes to that authority. We're damn near impotent now with all the debt we owe to China, but according to the Keynesian's China has a problem because we owe them money. Dr. Paul's scaleback of involvement in warfare is due to fact that we are broke. Warfare has to be funded; not only by the lives of solders, but the taxes collected from the citizens. We can hardly support our allies when we can't even support ourselves. Occupation of a country costs money. We cannot afford long-standing occupation without capital to fund support. Again, we cannot afford it. This country is broke. If we are "attacked", I'm sure a libertarian will do the right thing and retaliate. Yet, I agree that we don't need to wage a long lasting, money-draining war. Get in there and get out.
18. Name one instance of these "huge holes" without going into your whole "libertarians voted for Obama" balcony speech.
19. After the November elections, I think the Republicans will force Obama to be more centrist. This will all but neuter Obama as he hits rampart after rampart of GOP stockades. Then all the GOP will be happy that they have a "moderate Republican in practice" in the White House.
20. Who else is surprised by all this? Shocked! (Dick's Caveat: Sarcasm is so hard to convey over the Intraweb without a smiley.)
21. O'Bama? He's Black Irish, right?
22. Ben Bernanke is a traitor. It's a crying shame that the nation's leaders are turning to the Keynesians, the progressives, the socialists to solve the problems with the economy. The solution is as plain as Bernanke's ghost white beard.... Ben Bernanke Was Incredibly, Uncannily Wrong
23. It was horrible. I remember thinking, "Is this the best the GOP can do?". Then it occurred to me, hit me like a bolt of lightning, McCain is supposed to lose to Obama. The oligarchs could not accomplish with a McCain what they could accomplish with an Obama. So I wrote in Ron Paul who might be the only honest politician on the Hill.
24. I remember Sarah Palin's speech from the Republican National Convention last September. In my humble opinion, Palin sounds as if she suffers from a bipolar disorder. She should get that checked out. Perhaps that'll keep her home more and she can keep an eye on her daughter's whoring about.
25. You're insane. Go vote for your little, lesser evil (cop-out) and I will continue to vote for the most scrupulous. Those candidates who will stand up and protect the Constitution from all attacks, who are strong believers in the strength of the private sector, and those who want to shrink the role of the federal government at home and abroad. Do you ever stop to think that all of your voting for the lesser evil actually got Obama elected? Crazy, huh? Yeah... people like you who can't see past the two party system. People like you who believe there is a difference between a 25% socialist and a 100% socialist (A 1% butt hole is still an butt hole.).
