Sorta but The new I series has Hyper Threading which is 2 more virtual cores. if its a dual it will be 2 more, quad it will be 4 So basically doubling the power. I waited for the longest time, to get this computer. i was originally going to get the Core 2 Duo version. And the Core i3 is a GPU & CPU AIO and still can play some games on high. Its a budget friendly processor for the power
