  1. Just comin' to visit and say HAPPY NEW YEARS to anyone who notices :3 College is the best thing evar, and I'm the happiest I've ever been. toodles, enjoy '09
  2. i saw it again and it was like seeing it for the first time <3333333333333
  3. DAMN RIGHT YOU SHOULD! xD I'm seeing it again tonight
  4. I loved it the first time I heard it and I still do. The lyrics never stray from the linear message they provide. Every line helps the line before it progress and build into the climactic ending of the song that gives me goosebumps. The imagery is powerful, and the musical part of it is equally provocative. The progression of man through life: innocence, a simple will to change the world turned into an apocalyptic power-hungry race to dominance.
  5. ANYONE WHO HASN'T SEEN IT YET HAS NO EXCUSE! xD!!! Seriously, it's like one of my all time favorite movies now. I'm DYING to see it again! I've ranted about it for hours with whoever has seen it so far! Heath was SUPERB! Fantastic, Amazing, twisted, excellent (i daresay even sexy at times ;D)!! I set up high expectations, but was wary to immediately adopt him as the new Joker, because Jack Nicholson was a pretty wicked one. HOWEVER the first FIVE MINUTES the Heath Joker was on screen, I knew Heath had Jack beat! Honestly, I don't know if anyone can top Ledger now! The batman/Joker scenes were especially riveting, because the Joker just TORE his way into his head and pushed his every button! And not to mention he was a mastermind even though he is insane xD Everything that came out of his mouth is quotable. Everything. Also: that nurse's outfit was hot.
  6. I'm really fucking sad Ledger's dead now..... because his performance was AMAZING. go see the dark knight NOW. I was blown away :O
  7. Well then! I've been away for a very long time. I'm sorry, but I've been really busy! Quick recap: graduation parties (mine + others), lincoln park zoo, working at a food stand for 10 hours on the 4th of July, getting roomate/dorm info from college (my first seminar class will be "Climate Change, Art, and Activism" I'm super excited!), picnic in Palatine with a bunch of anime cosplayers (*nerd* :B), having my cousin and aunt and gramma come by from Ohio... and going downtown to take pictures :O... and a bunch of other crazy stuff. And Lolla is coming up soon, plus 2 vacations! Ummm so I'll try to come on, but if not, you know what's happening to me xD
  8. Wtf?! Losers I say! You're awesome, don't listen to them. Er, well I guess that's kind of hard when you're giving a speech to such assholes, but don't take it to heart I guess. If you've done nothing wrong you don't deserve that at all! *hug* I'm sure your speech will be brilliant! Prove them wrong hon! I'll root for you
  9. I'd want to be cremated. I've always hated the idea of a body-viewing (no offense to people who have done that sort of thing) And being buried in a wooden box in the ground doesn't make much sense. If I were to be buried, I'd want to be just thrown in a hole, worm food, so to speak. But that's just me. I'm kind of unceremonious in that way. My grandparents were cremated, and I think it's a fine way of having a funeral. My grandma made ceramics, and we used her urn molds to make hers and grandpa's, so it has familial value. I wouldn't want to just buy some urn... We've debated on what to do with the ashes. We wanted to spread my grandma's around her favorite tree, so that her ashes would be absorbed into the tree. But we all couldn't agree on that... I'd think that's what I would want for me though. Throw me into the ocean, or something epic like that. But when you get right down to it, it's just a body. It really doesn't make much sense to fuss over it the way we do. then again, humans have never been terribly rational beings.
  10. I love how it can be so hilarious one second, and then smack you in the face with heart-breaking reality the next second. It's masterfully done...
  11. well metal's not really my thing but i certainly don't mind it LOL, I LOVE DUTCH PEOPLE! even though i've never met one. xD I've finally got some graduation photo's to share. I can't believe it's been a month already. http://www.offtopic.forum/data/MetaMirrorCache/0144277d6f9aebdb4eb3741e5c7c5321.jpg Me walking in to be seated. My un-ironed gown and sash! xD http://www.offtopic.forum/data/MetaMirrorCache/d36f8fd2c0a6c14bbd29b8bd561621da.jpg me doing a retarded wave after walking off stage. my hat came off. See my pretty medal? ^^ http://www.offtopic.forum/data/MetaMirrorCache/6a70d85fb58b24c66f97086f79fe40f4.jpg My aunt, me, and my friend alex, getting flowers. I look disgruntled, I know. It was fucking windy, i was hungry, sweaty, thirsty, and I wanted to cut my feet off. I wish I could take a picture of my arm. I got a tuburculosis test shot today, and the nurse guy drew a little smiley face around the needle hole, so it looks like the smiley has a bloody nose!!! It's adorable. And he gave me a snoopy band aid for my menangitis shot! Awww.... oh, I forgot to mention (because I like to pretend someone other than me cares! xD) I made a KICK ASS stir fry today. ON a whim, without instructions. I just fried up some broccoli and peapods and soba noodles in teriyaki with garlic and red peppers and BAM. I was surprised how fucking delicious it was. fuck. anyway.
