  1. Likewise. This place was cool in its heyday. Miss it. True what they say, you can't go back. I don't have Facebook but good to see LPF refugees are still around. That's awesome.
  2. It's worth mentioning Quills isn't promoted as a site for meaningful discussion, it's a place to hang out and pass the time in the usually acceptible fashion. While we're on the subject I can't remember a time in recent history this place had anything worth talking about besides vocal attempts at 'saving' it. If you're after thought provoking discussions of any real merit, forgive my ignorance, but find an academic site if that's what appeals - you're not about to find them here or at Quills. Some of us don't always need mental stimulation to log on to a site. I never log on here anymore because there's simply nothing worth sticking around for. I have fun at the other place, sure it's not the New LPF, and nothing ever will be. Lacklustre ownership and apathetic community spirit (and a billion and one spambots hijacking threads) for the most part has seen this place die and it's sad to see. I miss the good old days but they're not coming back. Rather than whine about it I've just moved on. I miss the fun I had here but life goes on. Just felt like sharing.
  3. Sorry Sarah, I'm gonna have to revoke my original post - don't have the time etc anymore, sorry. And sorry Speedy, hope you find a better partner, I would have been crap anyway, I've never even watched one episode of Survivor! XD Thanks again. Good luck!
  4. Awesome, thanks for the speedy reply! So you know, I already wrote up 2 pages last night, so eager to start when others get on board. I've been asking people @ the other place but so far no response - Sarah's declined, sorry. But yeah, I'm in. And looking forward to seeing fort too. I tried to be vague with my descriptions deliberately to start, using the old 'cover of night' line to justify it. Already got plans for more updates in the works!
  5. Dude I am SO into this I could kiss you (well, not realistically, but you know what I mean) - this is awesome, and so much more thought out than before. I'm very impressed. I'm a tad confused, but I am very impressed. So the idea is we write ourselves wandering into this camp, as you describe... and everyone writes their own experiences? Can we bring in a friend? Oh wait, I think you already mentioned that (roommate) And let me see if I get this straight. If say 5 of us LPFers were to agree. And say 4 write something but 1 misses deadline, the rest of us or you write that member out in some form or another (in one of the ways you described) is that what you mean? Man, I am stoked. I love these end-of-the-world things (as I said earlier today to Nailz) - and I'm almost certain if Pete knows about this he's in too - he loves zombies probably more than any of us! Count me in! I'm going to start penning something tonight! One more thing - We're in America, but where exactly? Is the place so badly falling to ruin or we are so disoriented we don't know where we are?? (could work) Just curious is all. Again a HUGE thumbs up from me. Copying this info as we speak. Hope to have something up in the next few days. When's the cut-off period for signing up?
  6. Sitting here waiting to get ready for work. Perusing the halls at Quills. Listening to the neighbourhood kids playing at the end of the street *damn you local holiday!* And... thinking I want to go eat toast. Hmm. Toast.
  7. I'm pro-armament. I grew up around guns, I know how to use, how to care for, how to store them. I believe fear and ignorance about guns can be as dangerous as the weapons themselves. Granted, it can lull people into a false sense of security, and the percentages of accidental shootings, spousal homicides and murders generally go up where guns are easily accesible, but the peace of mind you get from knowing it's there should something happen can be worth the risk in people's eyes. And I'm afraid I like the notion of being able to decide for myself if I want them, not be stripped of them because a few bad apples spoil it for the rest of us - I understand too this society's becoming more violent, less tolerant, more desperate and socially segregated, but the alternative is a oppressive police state, or worse in the other extreme, martial law.
  8. Thinking about thinking... randomness...
  9. Filth Pig - Ministry
  10. No because that's his name, I have my own. We are separate identities. Plus that way when / if I fall out of fangirlism with him I can move on and not fret about name change - unlike the B in my AIM name. Hmm. Not saying it WONT last, just... being a realist is all
  11. Gee, I figured. Not only considering there was only two people registered there and the second one was me, of course it had to be you - notwithstanding your lurve for Mr White. As tempted as I was to add anything, I stuck with Ravynlee as you could see. Easier that way
  12. So, what this is your new site?
  13. Give it time, man. Not only that, and no offence intended to said Moderators, but don't they have enough to contend with at the mo?
  14. Creating a what now? You mean a new site??
