So some news:
Matt @dynomite called and said exhaust valve guides are toast, so few more days but new ones are on the way.
Also got my ccp stabilizer, prices have gone up but for the value they are I dont mind.
Have everything waiting to go, will be working on it hopefully tuesday at my...
roast protector huh? Ive got a roast beef in my oven right now, can I borrow your roast protector lol?
Seriously I wanted one too but just never got around to one. They aint cheap and good ones are worthwhile.
So far is right, you got maybe 10+ hours over me Dave lol.
In my eyes we need at least 4 of us to do this right, that way costs, ride time, etc will be minimal. There is still plenty of time to plan however.
My only issue is getting the time off work really. Vacations dont come all too easily when you work for a small company (as in less than 1o ppl). Getting a week off (like Id want) might just not be feasible IDK (I can try and make them lol..wtf they gonna do fire me?).
Its more of a money...
Good news is:
1 Matt @ Dynomite go the head and has begun working on it.
2. Drilled and tapped the oil plug. It threads in nice and holds tight. That dont work it would appear I can easily go up another size lol.
3. Fixed the leak I have by the shifter arm, theres a pinhole there from where I...
I think (although your smart for starting it now) a bit early to really get this rolling. We need to figure out alot of stuff. If I lived closer Id deff be going, but you gotta remember for most of us this is alot of travel time, vacation time and coin man.
Lets see what happens on down the...
Ive ridden the raptor, I cant understand the appeal of it.If you ever hopped on one from a 400/450 type quad then its like a giant heavy, unresponsive, ill handling machine. People dont even consider that they only see one thing "Raptor 700" Thats what they want, b/c they think larger...
Yea Id say its doable. If we can get a full breakdown of whats needed and costs and junk this could wind up being maybe 500-800 per guy overall.
2 things do come to mind however:
1. Obviously carpooling needs to be well thought out. Im lucky enough that ya pretty much gotta go this way for...
Looking good.
Hopefully the pads hold up. I bought some el cheapo 10 dollar ones on ebay for the 400 for the back and they wore out in a season vs the ebc severe dutys I replaced like 2 years back if not 3.
While EFI is nice, I dislike it b/c tuning it can get complicated. Sure you can get the computer hookups and such and do it yourself-but tuning a carb is way easier imho and simpler overall.
