well, i cant say i am perfect though. i have a truck but i dont have a good full time job, i work at the car wash. i dont have a girl friend, i tryed talking to a girl i used to like a long time ago, i saw her at my graduation party at high school but i had no idea who she was until like the last week of high school, long story short, i went up to her but didnt know what to say to her. i havnt seen her since, man we had some great times, but no i dont have one. i dont hunt but i used to fish, man its been a while, but i know people who hunt and would like to try someday.

Ford rangers suck. there weak. dodge dakotas beat all other mid-sized trucks 10-fold. they have two V-8 options.(and possiblity of a HEMI) and the new ones are kind of ugly, but have a 7000 lbs towing capacity.

dakotas are the hands down king of mid-sized trucks.

also a v8 and 5 1/2 ft. bed is nice. but you knwo as soon as the ranger does that, the dakota will have either a cummins, or two HEMIs.

a powerstroke ranger would be okay, but i have no idea what you would pull with a 1/2 ton truck.

I'm considering a new 5 speed Ranger because of the gas mileage it gets. If I wanted a truck with a high payload and floating rear axle, I wouldn't have sold my 1 ton B350 last month....that got a disgusting 8 miles to a gallon.

I'll take gas mileage over huge engine power and payload capacity bragging rights any day......been there done that.

Only thing I don't like about the Ranger are the crash test results.

you'll want the 2.3l l4 then, the 3.0l v6 and 4.0l v6 get about the same gas mileage.

the newer rangers should be ok, mine has no air bags, no abs and was made in 1987.

the older rangers (83-87) had a diesel engine option. they were very slow but got great gas mileage, were extremely reliable and are a very unique option. i saw one on ebay the other day, it needed body work but everything else was good, but you want a newer ranger, right?

The new F-250 with the new 6.0L Powerstoke gets about 20 miles to the gallon and still has over 600 Ft-Lbs of torque
