Following the success of 2012 with two races in Rocky Point, Mexico, SADR is proud to announce a three race schedule for 2013. New courses will be added this year. Please see the maps below.
Sand Storm 300 - March 16

Tequila 125 - May 18

Cholla 250 - November 22

SADR is very excited to announce a new start for the Sand Storm 300. The vehicles will stage in front of the motels as in the past, then parade about a mile to downtown Rocky Point in front of the police station where the start will be held. The course will then head out of town towards Las Conchas beach, then out to Caborca road to meet up with the existing race course. Another addition to the course will be a new infield section at the Sandy Beach main pit area. The infield section will be done at the end of the laps so everyone will do it. The race will finish in the normal location behind the motels at the main pit.

SADR and AZOP will be teaming up for the second race of the year the Tequila 125!!! This will bring many more bikes and quads to our series.

more info...

First, I want to publicly thank everyone that came out again for the Sand Storm 300 back in March, it is extremely gratifying to see all the enthusiasm from those who just entered there very first race, and then all the hard core desert veterans.I lost track of how many times we where told after the race "that course Todd put together was the best **** race course we have run in over 20 years" and we can't wait for the Tequiola 125 event. The entire SADR wants everyone to know we appreciate all the support from everyone.

The Tequila race course is 150 miles of haul ***, always-on-the-pedal, up-on-the-wheel racing from the green light to the finsh! Once agin everyone will get to parade into town, start on the pavement and finish on the beach!

If your sick and tired of racing thru rocks the size of small condo's, almost destroying your race car, then spitting Nevada's dust for a week. Maybe your tired of spending a small fortune on prep, entry fees, trackers / transponders, fuel and lodging. We have what you've been missing, plus we will never short you on the "stated" race mileage distance.

Here's an updated map with the pits and roads..

here some more info on the race course guys...

The (red) line is the parade route that everyone will use from the staging area to the "start". From the start, heading to "pit 1" the course goes due East (thin blue/green) when everyone reachs "pit 1" you will turn "left" racing toward the "main pit" which is the start of the 1st lap. Both laps run "clockwise" (wider blue) and there are NO race course intersections, even though the maps appears to have them due to the maps resolution race course overlay.
