i did not notice this before but we use a web based product called BlackBoard. BlackBoard serves it files over WebDav apparently.
I noticed in 64bit Windows 7 and Windows Server 2008 R2 that 32bit Internet Explorer 8.0 and 9.0 complain that the WebDav connection is using basic authentication and that I should look up http://support.microsoft.com/kb/2123563 for how to work around it.
However I do not get this in 32 bit Windows 7 with IE 8.0 or 9.0.
All instances are running 32bit Office 2010 with latest patches.
Why is 64bit Windows pickier about WebDav than 32bit Windows???
