450rHQ blocked at work...

I am unable to 450rHQ due to my works firewall. The reason, "Potentially Damaging Content". Now I know there is nothing damaging about this site, but does anyone have an idea as to why it would block it? Any way around it? I can get to the ORG just fine... just not here.

Yea I can get on the org but can't get on utvunderground or here. And hidemyass hits my firewall too

I think it has something to do with the ".ORG", being an organization the content can't possibly be as harmful as a website with the ".COM". I could be wrong .. .lol

Maybe they block it because they want you working and not browsing forums.

no,. the problem is that the site is labeled as forums/public notices and some systems block them. NMCI is a PITA with things like that.. the web site just needs to be labeled as something diferent like news site or sports site..

you could always use command prompt. I used it to connect any sites i wanted to - at school, relatives house with kids who are banned from the internet, work and even at hotels (staff only internet with password).

My work computers are pretty locked down. How would one go about labeling the site different?

Nothing you can do. If your work wants to block the site then nothing can be done.
