Is there a program to turn .mpg/.mpeg videos into .mp3/.wav format?

I want to get rid of the video and make it into a track.

Help plz.

try windows movie maker... just put in the clip you want in the audio section of "wmm" and it will save it as a wav file... then you can do whatever you want with the file...

i use Acid Pro 5
its a editing program, mainly for audio, but it also does a bit of video.
I import the track and delete the video, then save as mp3.

I use Video mp3 Extractor. It does a pretty good job and rips directly to an mp3 file, but the video has to have an mp3 file as it's audio, anything else, and it won't work, but most videos shouldn't be a problem.
