An Italian marine accused of killing two fishermen in India returned home Saturday pending a ruling on where he should be tried in a long-running case that has soured ties between the two countries. Salvatore Girone touched down in Rome after four years in India, where he was being held pending the resolution of a dispute between New Delhi and Rome over who has jurisdiction in the case. The newly reunited family was expected to travel straight on to Bari in southern Italy, where locals had planned a homecoming party.
