okay there is this person at my day program who goes to this site

i know that sites that have people posting fan fics from there pc can bring in possible virus's

but i wanna be sure its not only my paranoia for the pc at my day program

but am i right that fanfiction.net can bring lethal virus's to a pc...?

Any site is capable of bringing a lethal virus.

A virus can be picked up from any website in many different ways, it can be anything to bad cookies, downloading bad files, executing bad code, bad scripts.

As long as you have good anti-virus software and its kept upto date then there should be any need to be paranoid, just make sure you have regular system restore points and that you run regular anti-virus scans. Wouldn't hurt to also make sure that you've got programs like Spybot, AVG and Adaware which are all free to get ride of unwanted software.

Good anti-virus programs, Spybot Search and Destroy, Ad-Ware, and I have a free version of AVG.
