New Orleans.

5 days.

Saints vs. Cardinals on Sunday. Not attending the game, but the city should be buzzing with excitement. I will wear my Vikings jersey!

Anyone been to New Orleans? Any "can't miss" places you want to tell me about? I know we are going to be staying on Bourbon Street at least one night and a ghost tour has been scheduled to make me happy...lol.

I've never been, but I know two men who were stabbed there long time ago. Also, some girls I used to work with at Verizon went on a company trip, and they say some of the clubs are extreme. Live *** shows and whatnot. Have fun bring mace :D

Hubby grew up near there. I would say ghost tours are a must. The cemeteries are really neat. All the graves have to be above ground so the bodies don't float away. :)

Also, check out the French Quarter. Stay in a group. Don't go anywhere alone. Be careful, and have fun!

I've never been there. I was supposed to visit for Mardi Gras a few years back.

A gal I know is from there and had it set up for us to stay at her parent's place and everything but then Katrina happened.

No pics, no details - what's up with that?! How was the ghost tour?

Watching The Princess and the Frog made me think of you and your trip. It takes place in New Orleans and it touches on the spirits and voodoo culture there.

It was really rainy and dreary, so I didn't get to go on a ghost tour. It's one where you walk around outside so they cancel it when the weather is rotten. I did get to see Bourbon Street, though. I would go back again!

Oh, and the bar I was at was fun. A bunch of people found out I was from ND and pretty soon they were buying me all kinds of drinks and shots. Before I knew it, I was drug up on the karoake stage to dance! It was pretty crazy.

Is that a good movie? I'll have to check that out. :)

Yeah, it was a cute movie:) I'm glad you had a good time. I really need to take a vacation this year.
