ALL FAUX PAS LEAD TO ROME

The Abecedarian Holy Roman Emperor approaches,

scolding the Caitiff Caliph with many reproaches

of scholarly Byzantine Erudition

The fetid faecal effluvium of his prognostrilications

causing a serious inflammation of the catarrh

Quoting from the innermost atrium of his coronary passages,

from the most veracious and loquacious ventricle of his heart,

from the most classical and calcified arteries of his articulation,

he unwittingly unleashes the powers of Infinite Infantile Infatah

In the flawless falsetto of a Holy Castrati Choirboy

The Infallable Fallopian Protector swings his mighty Falchion

against every Fanatic Fakir of False Faith,

employing the full force of his quavering fauces,

gesticulating furiously with his fasces,

in the fallaciously felicitous oratorical equivalent of Fellatio

He fetes the Fellaheen in resounding Faux Pas

Invoking the Right of Eminent Domain against all Antinomians

He raises his Symbolic Ankh, to shield the Embryonic Larvae

His mission is to preserve the Ancient Wisdom of the Thunnus Alalunga

In a tunic of finest albacore

In a whirlpool of profound cavitations

Under the crushing weight of Jupiter gravitation

In a Sacred Tsunami of unquestioned assumptions

With flourish of high drama, he dismisses the dragoman

and orders his dragoons to escort away the Drag Queen

A portait of the most Rigid Upright Rectitude

His Rectal Fortitude secured in the Anals of History

He employs every available platform

in order to propagate his most Implausible Imperial Platitudes

Knowing fully how to conjugate every Latin adverb and ablative

His highest duty is to employ his vast cognitive powers

To summon his carabineers, if necessary

and exercise his full plenipotentiary powers

in order to prevent the conjugal bliss of the plebeian canaille

and pedestrian philistines

In a festering favoritism of faith

His many followers, feverishly fertile

Big Tuna (2004) is the first Israeli mockumentary film and a

cult movie. The film presents the crazy and amazing life story

of Max Tuna Schreiber, the Israeli candid camera legend.

Big tuna (AKA Zehirut Matzlema describes the life of Max Tuna

Schreiber, who pulled a hoax on Israel's Prime Minister, David

Ben-Gurion, filmed the first homosexual prank in the world (in

1967), and flew in a hot-air balloon to Egypt in order to bring

peace between Israel and Egypt.

The movie follows Tuna Schreiber from his early days when he

desperately tried to get into the film industry, through his

short lasting glory days, until the big fall and the contracted

debts as a result of his last and bizarre candid camera film in

which he pulled hoaxes not on people but rather on walls and

office supplies.

The Albacore Story

Concept To Mothballs

Named Albacore, she was commissioned on December 5, 1953.

Addressing her officers and crew, Momsen told them that the

future was in their hands, that "this boat upon which so much

depends may lead the way to mastery of the sea by submersible".

The keel for the second Albacore, SS-218, was laid April 21,

1941 at the Electric Boat Company of Groton, CT.

The designers did not have to concern themselves with any input

from the Bureaus of Ordinance, Engineering, Navigation and

Construction and Repair which, as Momsen remarked, always ended

up stuffing a submarine like a "turkey"

Given the right kind of hull, "a submarine no longer would have

to slink along like a frightened cow

To speak openly of what Momsen privately envisioned would invite

a fast trip to the booby hatch. Guile was the key to circumvent

establishment thinking. In a carrier-dominated Navy, he knew

there was no chance that funds would be appropriated for such a

radical purpose.

Her official motto, "Praenuntius Futuri" or

"Forerunner of the Future" was to prove appropriately chosen

From Albacore, the design all of the Navy's modern,

nuclear-powered submarines has evolved.

Near the western edge of Favignana, an island off the cost of

Sicily, stands a roadside shrine with a painting of the Virgin

Mary. Cradling a sleek bluefin tuna instead of the Baby Jesus,

the Madonna of the Tonnaroti stands guard over the sea, keeping

watch over the tuna and the fishermen who trap the giant fish.

The Madonna is mentioned in "Mattanza: Love and Death in the Sea

of Sicily," by Theresa Maggio. The book tells about the

"tonnaroti," the tuna fishermen, "thoroughly modern working men

who understand that they are laboring at the tail end of a

millennium-long occupation," according to a review June 5 in the

Washington Post. The article indicates that the beloved tuna are

endangered.

Laboratory's Atlas machine begins experimental work

In the shot, the 650-ton Atlas pulsed-power generator

successfully discharged approximately 20 million amperes of

current through an aluminum cylindrical shell or liner about the

size and shape of a tuna can, causing the liner to implode at

very high speeds.

The purpose of this first experiment was to demonstrate Atlas

was capable of the implosion quality that had been obtained with

an earlier Los Alamos pulsed power machine, Pegasus II. Pegasus

II produced the most uniform, symmetric and controllable

implosions ever achieved. The experiment also demonstrated

successful delivery of electrical energy at high currents and

voltages and successful collection of complex data at the Atlas

facility.

Atlas was conceived in 1993 as part of the Department of Energy'

s strategy to maintain the nuclear stockpile without the use of

underground nuclear testing.

America's Debt to Journalist Gary Webb

December 13, 2004

By Robert Parry

Previously I posted an article about Webb's death. Here's an

article detailing the coverup that led to his death, both by our

government and sadly, mainstream media as well.

Consortiumnews

In 1996, journalist Gary Webb wrote a series of articles that

forced a long-overdue investigation of a very dark chapter of

recent U.S. foreign policy - the Reagan-Bush administration's

protection of cocaine traffickers who operated under the cover

of the Nicaraguan contra war in the 1980s.

For his brave reporting at the San Jose Mercury News, Webb paid

a high price. He was attacked by journalistic colleagues at the

New York Times, the Washington Post, the Los Angeles Times, the

American Journalism Review and even the Nation magazine. Under

this media pressure, his editor Jerry Ceppos sold out the story

and demoted Webb, causing him to quit the Mercury News. Even

Webb's marriage broke up.

On Friday, Dec. 10, Gary Webb, 49, died of an apparent suicide,

a gunshot wound to the head.

I spent at least two Christmases in jail. One was in the federal

prison just outside of El Paso, called La Tuna. One was in the

county jail in Council Bluffs, Iowa.

La Tuna is white, at least the front facade. It used to be a

monastery. It is located just this side of the Rio Grande and

Juarez, Mexico. The last time I saw it, the Pottawattamie County

jail was a high-rise on the south side of Broadway Avenue, just

this side of Omaha.

As far as I can tell, there's nothing saying what Tommy Hook

does (did) at LANL. He's consistently described as a

"whistleblower."

Audit reports conducted by Mr. Hook and Mr. Montano in 2002-2004

found a disturbing pattern of financial irregularities in the

Los Alamos Lab' procurement division. In compliance with

Department of Energy (DOE) requirements, Mr. Hook and Mr.

Montano produced a report assessing the Lab's contracting

operations. Lab supervisors refused to allow the report to be

submitted to DOE, instead submitting a report that glossed over

the problems identified by Mr. Hook and Mr. Montano.

RoboCod: Lloyd's List International reports that US engineers

have built an eight-foot-long robot tuna "to infiltrate and

survey enemy defenses." The fake fish, fabricated from "foam

ribs and thousands of aluminum scales covered with waterproof

neoprene," can wiggle through the water at a speed of 4 knots.

The goal is to build a version that can "dive to almost any

depth" and travel 20 at knots (real tuna can hit 40 knots).

Lloyd's notes that the remote-controlled weapon should prove

"far quicker and more maneuverable than existing submarines,

which find difficulty in wagging their tails."

Barrymore or Bury More? In what has been called the largest

"mass hack" in computer history, a group of teenagers known

collectively as Milworm infiltrated 300 websites run by nuclear

and defense organizations around the world and plastered each

home page with a picture of a mushroom cloud. An accompanying

800-word statement declared: "This mass takeover goes out to all

the people out there who want to see peace in this world." The

Milworm hackers provided links to a host of alternative sites

devoted to such non-nuclear entertainments as Wimbledon, The

World Cup and Drew Barrymore.

Do Not Pass, Glow Directly to Jail: A New York inventor is

looking for someone to manufacture a new board game for people

"tired of the standard real-estate-buying" games. In this game,

players build nuclear power plants and attempt to turn a profit

while avoiding a meltdown. The game is called "Fall-Out!" and is

intended to raise "consciousness of the environmental and social

issues related to the nuclear power industry." [invention

The rules of this game are thus: You are to create an image of

utter destruction. It can take place through any form, natural

or manmade, real or silly (i.e. meteor strike, nuclear meltdown,

or a tidal wave, or have the whole world doused in tuna fish,

etc...) So long as it depicts some form of mass destruction it's

on-topic.

MOMBASA, Kenya (AFP) - A tuna fish caught in the Indian Ocean

this week has excited Kenyan Muslims who are flocking here by

the hundreds to see a Koranic verse apparently embedded in its

scales.

Dubbed the "wonder fish" by locals in this port city, the 2.5-

kilo (5.5-pound) tuna has attracted so much attention it has

been placed in the custody of the National Fisheries Department

for safekeeping, officials said.

The otherwise ordinary fish caught the attention of fishmonger

Omar Mohammed Awadh who pulled it out of a catch when he noticed

what seemed to be Arabic writing among the scales near its tail,

they said.

Arabic scholars examined the fish and determined the writing was

a Koranic verse meaning "God is the greatest of all providers,"

said Hassan Mohamed Hassan, an education officer with the

National Museums of Kenya in Mombasa.

"It is so clearly spelt," he said. "That is why we believe that

Allah is sending a message to mankind."

This fish is still strong," I told Tuna.

"Yes," he said, "but he's staying on top."

I did not tell Tuna about my conviction that the time for

summing up had come nor about the strategy that proceeded from

that conviction. The most important sign that a reckoning was in

order came from the fish. After seeming tireless for so long, it

was allowing us to stay close. There was also the conversation

that the smarter part of my brain was having with the fishing

part.

What? What's wrong?" Tuna said.

"The leader broke," I said, which was true as far as it went.

For a long time after the marlin left us, taking my wonderful $5

fly into the far ocean, no one spoke. For the first time that

day, Tuna let the motor idle for a bit. I cranked in until both

line and broken leader were onto the spool of the tireless

Battenkill 10/11, the choice of budget-conscious, traveling

be released, in our hour of darkness, in our time of need.

Darkness was upon us now in the sweet situation that enveloped

us at every point?the diamonded sky above, the sea below and

roundabout, and the place where we were, in a hardy boat with

quite a good chance of surviving our plunging navigation through

the churning combers that rise, curl, and crash luminously night

upon night all across the very pass that admitted Captain Bligh

on that Christmas Day so long ago to the island that had become,

despite the intervention of guns, personalized devils, contrary

religions, and thermonuclear flashes, just what the sign at the

airport promised, a paradise of birds and fish.
