Animated images

Why can't I upload animated avatars? Everytime I try it says 'You may not upload animated images'. Is it for the Green Names+ only?

What kind of file is it? I'm pretty sure you can upload GIF pics. Check the file type and if it doesn't work, try converting it to some other type? iunno... if you can

Nope. I'm using a 80x80 pixel .gif image that is 3.76 KBs.
