Look at that. Another baseless comment without relevance.

Officials told The Associated Press the arrests came after a nearly yearlong undercover operation that began in Newburgh.

Obama's plan to to shut down Guantanamo got voted down 90-6. i should say lack of plan, since he had no idea where to put the scumbags after shutting down their current abode.

Really?

From the Columbus Telegram

Muslims fueled by hatred of America and Jews, they spent months scouting targets and securing what they thought was a surface-to-air missile system and powerful explosives _ all under the watch of an FBI informant.
Yeah, Patriot Act at work my @ss.

What the **** kind of leap is that? I didn't say anything about the Patriot Act.

Your Obama reference was baseless and irrelevant.

You know, the one I quoted.

And I'm sure they used surveillance also. They need prof and not by just and informant.

I'm sure they did too SNAF. There are many other investigative options at one's disposal that were perfectly acceptable and widely used pre-patriot act.

I'm sure they did too, but not warrantless surveillance. I doubt the Patriot Act had anything to do with it.

Thank *** and George for the Patriot Act A?
I love how all these "small-government" types (who never lifted a finger when Bush the Younger was expanding the powers of the government exponentially) NOW are reading Rand and acting like it's the gospel. I wonder how Ayn Rand would feel about the PATRIOT act?

The point is that we have people who never cared for limited government now jumping on the bandwagon and acting like they have read Ayn Rand all along. Case in point - please don't call yourself a small/limited government type and say you back the PATRIOT Act (which is sort of "soft-fascism" with red, white, and blue ribbons wrapped around it!).

To say "YES! Government please listen to my phone calls, read my emails, because I have nothing to hide!". Is like saying, "YES! Throw the shackles on my wrists and about my ankles! I am your subservient dog. I beg you to strip my civil rights as a patriot, as a citizen, and as a human fukken being.".

I have two great suggestions for relocating the prisoners. Haiti or Berkeley. You choose.

I think some people were OK with the Patriot Act, and I myself didn't think it was a good idea, but I wasn't as worked up about it, because there was a sundown provision attached, like the assault weapons ban.

The power grab and expansion of the executive branch in other areas under Bush and now ballooning under Obama doesn't have that restriction, yet.

I think the Patriot Act is and was essential in taking out insurgents and sleeper cells. We need the information it provides. The goverment is there to protect us not control us.

Alot of people were OK with the Patriot Act, because they assume the government will do right by them. Then again, if you have nothing to hide... so be it.

I, for one, have plenty to hide. The government doesn't need to know about my intimate conversations with Daisy on 1-900-HOT-****. (rollseyesface)

I'm not a opposed to certain aspects of surveilance, however I wholeheartedly, vehemently, and with a fukken passion stand behind MY rights under the Bill of Rights.

The expotential growth of our federal government is unconstitutional.

Thus making the Second Amendment null and void?

No.

Double no.

Who will protect me when the government seizes all that I have, all that I have worked for, for the glorification of its massive ego?

I'd just assume die in a gunfight with actual criminals.
