In a 2-1 ruling in the federal US Court of Appeals in New York, the court found that NFL commissioner Roger Goodell had acted properly in issuing the sanction last year. Brady had challenged the four-game suspension and won a legal victory in September when a lower court ruled in his favor, quashing the ban after judging the punishment to be unfair.
