Are The Eighties Coming Back?

Lately clothing(at least in America) has been going retro, especially with women. They cop the mini's with the black long leggings and ****. And bagy sweaters are slowly coming back into the scene...any actually like this style? I think its to funky-ish, that and the fact that I have no clue where the **** people decided to start wearing this old style of clothing.

Your thoughts?

In my country there are some shops that sell all that kind of cloth but I don´t like it that much,I like more what I wear anyway

I wear what I want to wear...which is screen tee's, anything on the clearence rack, and thrift stores. I look like quite the character sometimes, let me tell you...*sigh* I do think that the whole mix and match thing they did back then is coming back...lol

Maybe most people here are too young to notice this, but fashion is one vicious cycle. Retro is always "in". There was was mod, hippie, & rockabilly that came back in the 80s alone. Brian Setzer alone brought back swing music & it's rockabilly style both in the 80s & the 90s. Fashion is always trying to copy the previous generation, so naturally 80s style is coming back. It's recycled garbage.

i hate how people are going back to the 80s.....yeah, i like the 70s or 60s....but the 80s?!?!? I hate the 80s. Okay, i think that people today need to get thier own freaking fashion!!! Not going back in time.....like i said....annoying.

I'm goth....or some people call me a "New Age Goth" but i dont care what they call me....but i dress in my own way, usually the oppisite of what people are wearing....(a.k.a. Black hoodie/shirt and jeans and chains, no mini's for me!!!!)

I'm not a huge fan of the 80s stuff.. though the skirt/leggings thing looks cool.

i guess i have an urban prep kinda style...baggy tee's with a button up underneath long bling bling with a rocker studded watch and a trucker hat...my *** hanging out my pants...

i mean certain things like the baggy sweaters really arent good lookin but like girls think they are and its like -_-

I dont TRY to be goth, people just go around saying "Hey there goes that Goth Chick" They say i'm goth, but i say i'm just being me....

being born in '91, i can't say personally if i think the 80's are coming back... i just don't really pay attention to what's "in", i wear what i want to wear. most of the time it's just jeans and a t-shirt, but not like 40 or 50 dollar jeans, or 30 dollar shirts. i get my stuff from Goodwill, since it's like 4 bucks for a pair of jeans there.

but anway, i can't really say whether or not the 80's are coming back, since i was born in '91.
