woodyloveslinkin
This question was brought on by this article i found after trying to google the white stripes. http://www.telegraph.co.uk/connected/main.jhtml?xml=/connected/2008/01/28/dlqtrax128.xml Are you a limewire person or you the kind of person that legally obtains an artists music by purchasing music from their cd or anyway other that might profit the artist? [:-} I'm a kinda of both, but I have friends that strongly believe that they should contribute to their fav bands profits by buying their cds. I'l buy their cds when I have cash on me, but if the opportunity arises, I'll go on limewire (when I'm on a laptop that has a faster download speed then the one I'm usually on) and get songs that way. Victim
I would have to say I am both... I will download like singles, or one or two songs by a band, to make sure they are worth the 10-15 dollars I am about to lay down for their cd... Or if it is a band I really like, i will go out and buy their CD with out any hesitation. HaziLPTonz
i buy only artists i enjoy listening to, rest i download, and if i lik i buy, it does suck that uptights are caracking down on sites like demonoid,albumbase...etc, iv given up on alot of artists simply because i couldnt get a good listen in to give em a chance for me to bother spending any of my cash on em Quote http://www.sucksbbs.net/data/MetaMirrorCache/ddd296f8f90eca79dbafae096b6d28b3.jpg

Tomer
Both. Everything illegal and LP legal. rofl. Same here lol. To be honest I download more music than buying. (except for my favourite bands) I mean we are 2008? Who buys music nowadays anyway? God bless Illegal downloading lol :-P Quote GONE (Thanks everyone for the good memories)
Black_Angel
I used to buy them, but tbh I've found better things to spend my money on, and since cash is a bit tight atm, it's easier just to download it. Though if a band I really liked brought a new album out I'd definitely buy it from the shops. Quote i still love you, girl from mars.
Friðbjörn
illegal mostly. I occasionally buy CDs, like on the big sale markets that have old stuff and such, but other than that I download. for one the music I listen to is often too obscure to be found in music shops here, but mainly it's just so much more easy downloading everything. another thing though, is that I don't have anywhere near the money to support my expansive music lifestyle...lol Quote [broken External Image]:http://img259.imageshack.us/img259/2784/lpfas08mostintelligentym8.jpg

azemkamikaze03
People who care SOOOO much about Demonoid closing dont know how to find music you make it sound like its a bad thing not everyone has a record store that has diverse music. half the time people are subjected to buying cds from Target and Walmart. not saying thats bad im just saying try finding aseop rock there. torrent sites like demonoid are convenient to people because they dont waste their lives searching google and blogs for music. They simply want something simple where they can type in a new band or cd they heard about and download the album easy. I don't blame them. Buying 300 cds a year is ridiculous. Like reflectionist said of course everyone will say they try to be fair and to a 50/50 sort of thing, but i doubt it. I download probably 20 times more than I ever buy. If i buy its usually an album I know is good. The last album I bought was Lupe Fiasco's cd. I constantly download these "underground" bands or bands with unsigned hype because i cant find their cd's anywhere and I refuse to buy an mp4. Quote ¿whysoserious? Cyro
I unfortunately download basically everything.... I only buy albums very rarely when I really like them. I miss demonoid too... On a note though, I did buy every Linkin Park album, haha. Including some of the more "hard to find" ones.
