Automated domain join runs twice, creating duplicate computer in AD

So I'm running a lite-touch deployment with an unattend.xml file to automatically join the computer to the domain. The problem is in offices that have more than one DC the computer gets joined to the domain twice, creating a duplicate computer in AD. I checked the setupact.log file, and it looks like djoin.exe is being run twice for some reason, even in offices with only one DC, but it doesn't cause any issues in those. Any idea why it runs twice and how to fix it? Thanks.
