Band Name Titles

Me and a few friends just formed a band recently and were going through some names, not asking for suggestions, just asking your opinion (*** I hope i can get at least one reply on this one..)

*** 40 -... couldnt think of a name... dude say a door **** and a speed limit sign that read "40"

Short Tripp - other dude said something about a short trip and I said "Short Trip.. thats not bad.."

Paramour - taken

Mariot - The name of a hotel my friend says he's going to buy his best friend (who is a girl) when he becomes a famous rock star, I just liked the name, I don't care it's meaning.

we'll have more coming, just not right now. We are an arena rock/indie band

hmm... *** 40 sounds like "crush 40" (some weird sega band =O)

short tripp sounds like a rapper type of name... wouldn't work out.

paramour >.> taken mmhmm...

mariot... that's creative. But I dunno.

you can think of better names!

oooooh yeah i know lol, the other band members are smart people, but also smoke weed like crazy so yeah. Right now we're going with Short Tripp, we'll probably change it sometime this week.

I think Mariot sound pretty good so far...if you talk about the hotel...it's called "Marriott"

We have had this prediciment before when trying to form our on again off again band thing lol....

So far we have been called:

Pick Spread Roll

Speed Cookie

Ironic Bunny

Headless Pony

Something Gazebo

Audio Gazebo

We just cant stick lol we even trying to choose one now haha, the hotel one sounds pretty good though.

I did too, but then we realised it sounded a bit too much like Modest Mouse *shrugs* I want it back regardless and i think we should haha.

well glad some you like marriott, yeah didnt know how to spell it was just guessing. im ganna talk to them sometime this week

mariot, should keep the original spelling rather than the hotels one, you wouldnt want a lawsuit or anyone to think you just coined the name off a hotel, that sounds really nice

what type of music do you guys play? that should help narrow down the random names

well the band doesn't like "mariot" right now we're deciding between "House of Cards", "Olivet Discourse", and "New World Order". All of them actually have a meaning. Olivet Discourse is a passage in the bible that talks about the destruction of man (i think..), but right now only 2 of us like that name. The others wanna go with "Short Tryp". (on everything it's just because they thought of it... yes.. they are like that)
