Bands You Absolutly MUST see live again

You know when you see a band & you think CHRIST THEY WERE GOOD! I must see them again, or sigh I have to see them again, the venue/soundmen ruined it! Or maybe a longer set, list bands you MUST see again.

Smashing Pumpkins - Very good live but it wasn't so much the fact it was how good it was that

I have to see them again (if anything I don't think I will get such a strong setlist from them again)

but for some reasson I STILL think I needed just a bit... more. I felt very hungover when I saw

them & tired but still enjoyed it... what does that tell you?

Modest Mouse - The setlist wasn't too great & the venue was terrible, no drinks allowed on the

actual floor, the most anal bouncers & staff in general coupled with terrible sound and outrageous

prices made this gig pretty much a nightmare. When Issacc clocked onto this however he deffinatly

made the show much better and to top it all off played 3 of their best songs, their best new song

and then attacked one of the afformentioned cunt bouncers for manhandling a fan by jumping into

the crowd and taking a swing at him. I just need a better venue!

!!! - 40mins wasn't enough for this band, one of the most uplifitng bands ever, everyone was

dancing in the Dance Tent even the scepticals who looked shit bored by the side. I haven't moved

so much at a gig before, one of the best live bands I have ever seen if not THE best.

Man Man - Read above really, for a band on at 4pm the humour implied got everyone uplifted

the tightest band as well where even when things went wrong the effortlessly continued playing

improvising, When the vocalist ran off the stage to find a stool after he broke the first one was

one of the highlight just because they saved it so well we a scream off with the crowd.

Future Of The Left - Crunchy heavy music was on wayyyy too early, highlight was when they got

the crowd to remove the safety barrier and encouraged us to dance with them on the stage, stage

crowd invasion + the best responses to heckles ever make these a winner.

Ruby Suns - Hypnotic, but the set I saw them at was only 20minutes long! To add insult to this

rather insulting injury the venue was terrible, the worst place ever but they were still the best

part of the weekend!

I've always loved the brutalness to their music more live

so much more raw and raged

muck

heavy, gritty, dissonant, not quite fast paced but still energetic

Have u ever been to a show with less then 500 people in attendance??!?!?! if you havent your seriously missing out as I find gigs with over 500ppl loose a lot of the magic unless the band is stadium rock ready, Foo Fighters would work in that scenario as do Muse. I have seen LP and from what I recall it was very mediocre, i got no sense the band was plaing for us, the crowd was too big and their live set felt so impersonal with a backing track playing such a heavy part into it.

My Chemichal Romance are INDEED terrible live

I saw Linkin Park and it was a crowd with 1000 people

that was cool

Then I saw them again with a crowd of 10.000 people and it was not that special.

So I would go again to see them with a crowd of 1000...but that barely happens.

What I really want to see is a club show of Lupe Fiasco

that would be awesome. Haven't seen him yet though.

really? I mean quality wise MCR sucked, but the show they put on was great, fantastic use of pyrotechnics

My Chemichal Romance have terrible banter, a loose sloppy sound live, they didnt have the Pyrotechnics when I saw them & just because a turd has a sparkler in it's hand dont make the band any more valid to see live, wanna see fireworks then go to a bloody bonfire.

For me it depends on where you are standing

More to the front has way more atmosphere than in the back

As a rule the bigger the venue the more empty the sound is likely to be, also the front of a massive crowd, though does offer a great degree of atmosphere still doent make it feel nearly as personal as it could be. I saw Kings Of Leon twice last year, once at Reading with several thousand and once at brighton with several hundered and i know which one was better.

Yeah I see your point, concerts are also better in normal 'concert rooms' than on a festival , because a festival is so much bigger, so they don't have alot of contact with the audience

The only decent thing was the guitar plaer had a couple of decent moments, other wise i had to eal with all their obsessed "emo" fans who all dress the same, and the lead singer trying to prove how gay he was to the crowd with his not funny jokes and crowd convos

P.S. The pyro was cool though

Well, the first show I saw was a Deep Purple live. I was 13 years old and it was really, really, really amazing!! of course, this was a experience I should live again.. but, unfortunately, I think I wont be lucky more times, at least for enjoying a live of this band. I guess it's more than impossible (super impossible) than I have another opportunity, even more when luck seems that it doesnt think in me: three weeks ago Scorpions play not too far away from where I live now, but I couldnt go. I know Metallica and Linkin Park will play in Portugal soon (if they havent already played)... and in july Iron Maiden will play as well... so, I think I can not say that I must see a live if not that I hope to see a live :'(
