wrong. Wata, the chick on guitar has got skills that just goes unmatched by practically almost every band of today. Seriously. This chick has Jimmy Hendrix and a mixture of great guitarist all in her veins.

The genre hopping with every album (drone, stoner rock, psychedelic rock, noise, ambient, sludge, post-rock, and straightforward rock music) and all these excellent collaborations has pretty much cemented them as my Japanese favourite for awhile. Ahead of the likes of The Boredoms, Ghost, Mono, Melt Banana, Merzbow, etc.

It's cool, because it's worth mentioning one of the best and most dynamic bands of today.

You checked both songs of them that I uploaded? How about the Explosions in the Sky song?

well sure...

and yeah I checked out everything you got me...

my father my king was amazing

if you mean birth and death of the day, yeah, that one was...what shall I say, atmospheric to say the least. soothing. reminded me of sigur ros' use of glockenspiels at times, and definately mogwai stuff too.

Yeah I was like weird when you said soothing because the beginning and the middle to the end parts of "The Birth and Death of the Day" are like a sledgehammer of guitar noise. I definitely see the Sigur Ros aspect of the 2nd section of the song, but then again that's more typical sounding of Explosions in the Sky themselves.

What did you think of the guitar work in "Sweet No. 1" by Boris. It definitely would make Jimi proud. Though this particular album is more tame than Boris usually is. If you like My Father, My King you probably would like a good chunk of what Boris has done. The album "Feedbacker" gave me some chills a few nights ago that's for sure. It's very dark and the wall of guitar gains fury with each of the five sections of the album (or song really).

If you have any interest of other stuff, let me know. I can easily upload pretty quick. Even 45 minute songs. Ha........ :D
