What do you guys think of Boxcar Racer.

It was a side project of Tom Delonge's (Blink 182 guitar/vocal), and it has Travis Barker (Blink 182 drums).

I reckon they are pretty mad, and I love the song Letters To ***, its really sad but it rules.

I've only heard "I Feel So" and "There Is". Both really great songs. I love the acoustic guitar in "There Is".

I can't believe I haven't gotten their CD yet, haha.

I'm not a Blink 182 fan. But when I had the displeasure of hearing Boxcar Racer, the first thing that came to my mind was "why?". It just sounded like another silly Blink 182 record to me. Except worse.

So this brings up the question:

Aren't side projects suppose to be for a person in a band that gets an itch and desires to do something "DIFFERENT" by themselves (or with others from other bands) in order to have realized another creative side of themselves?

Another silly blink record? Sounds far from it if you ask me, except for My First Punk Song which is a joke song anyway.

I like boxcar racer. my brother introduced me to them. I like some of their stuff but the song I feel so is prolly one of their best ones. I also liked the one that mark did a vocal part on. that one was good too but I cant remember the name to it.

The sad thing is Box Car Racer, like Blink-182, is in a state of limbo over the fight with Tom. Chances are they won't pick this back up again, since Tom has moved to Angels and Airwaves and Travis is working on his own project with The Transplants.

Boxcar wont make an album again, guranteed, that was just a side project for tom to prove he can actually make good music, not just a bunch of "crappy punk rock" songs, and Transplants is over for good. Travis is in a new band called Expensive Tastes, Mark and Travis are also in Plus-44, and Tom is doing Angels and Airwaves and says that he hopes this band is around for a long time to come, So I doubt we will ever see Blink, Boxcar, or Transplants again
