Police in Canada issued an international arrest warrant for a Brazilian water polo player at the PanAmerican Games accused of raping a 22-year-old woman, officials said. Thye Mattos Ventura Bezerra, 27, is accused of sexually assaulting the woman at her home on July 16, a day after his team had lost in the final of the water polo tournament in Toronto, investigator Joanne Beaven Desjardins said. Bezerra allegedly attacked his victim after discovering her asleep in her room, police said.
