British Open leader Phil Mickelson got his second round under way at 8:25 am (0725 GMT) on Friday morning, braced for far more trying conditions at Royal Troon. The weather forecast on Scotland's west coast was for rain and gusts of wind, although it remained dry as the American played his opening tee shot into the strong breeze at the 367-yard par-four first hole.
