China Warns U.S. May Set Off Arms Race

By Associated Press

BEIJING --

China joined Russia on Tuesday in criticizing a U.S. plan to build a
missile defense system in Europe, saying the system could set off an
arms race.

The White House plans to install a radar system in the Czech Republic
and interceptor missiles in Poland -- two Eastern European countries
that were in the Soviet orbit during the Cold War era.

Chinese Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Jiang Yu said the plan had
"aroused great concern and attention."

"China believes that the impact of a missile defense system on
strategic defense and stability is not conducive to mutual trust of
major nations and regional security," she said.

"It may also give rise to a proliferation problem."

Russia perceives the shield as a direct threat and says it has no
choice but to boost its own military potential in response.

In some of his latest comments on the matter, Russian President
Vladimir Putin warned that Moscow could take "retaliatory steps"
including aiming nuclear weapons at U.S. military bases in Europe.

When did he do that?

Where exactly is your opposition?

The Russians and the Chinese are content to leave the world alone.
Washington, on the other hand, thinks the world exists to satisfy their
quest for resources and power.

Just who is more dangerous?

Because he pledged allegiance to the USA. It's not his fault you and the
neocons went rogue, but you'll pay for it.

He does it in almost every post. But in this post, he posts Chinese
criticism of the U.S., taking a side against the U.S.

Thanks for swallowing Bush's asshat lies about "if you're not
with me you're with the enemy" hook line and sinker. What
makes it so hard to understand you can be against both?

The Empire, of course (ie. America). But don't be fooled into
thinking China is "perfect". They burn a lot of coal which helps to
degrade the environment of the planet -- and environment comes
first, economy second, not the other way around. So they are
also ruining the world, just in a different way, and a slower, more
creeping and ominous one. But the USA does that too. However
it goes to show that BOTH have PROBLEMS and those problems
CANNOT BE IGNORED for EITHER side.

If you are against both, you are against the U.S.
